1) Megaman X is the tech guy who builds all your ships and bad guy duex ex machinas.

2) Cole from Infamous. As he's the totally overpowered heavy hitter.

3) Shadow the Hedgehog. You get a speed guy but instead of being useless like the Flash, he's got all the chaos control magic, plus firearm experience. Pretty well rounded guy.

4) Red Spy from Team Fortress 2. They a really intellegent guy to be the leader. And it helps to have a stealth dude on all.

Yu Narukami- Controls the god Izanagi. His swag is off the charts.
Prince Laharl- Most powerful demon in all of the Netherworld? Why not.
J.C. Denton- His vision is augmented, which instantly makes him boss.
Mordin Solus- When paired with J.C., it's an unstoppable pair. It had to be him.

Okay sir, with the invasion of Necromorph fanboys that are taking over the gaming world we have begun to resort to drastic measures and have assembled a team of various different characters and protagonists from various different games to combat them. This is what we have:

1: Thel Vadam (The Arbiter, Halo series.)
He is a noble honorable warrior, fierce and dedicated to his cause and caring deeply for the lives of the people under his command. A born leader. His valiance and dedication and general nobility and greatness make him, in my books, the obvious choice to lead this little group.

2: Ashley Williams (Mass Effect)
While the plot treats her like crap from time to time, I find her to be a strong, capable fighting lass who is good with guns and military tactics. She has superlative skills and is good at following orders, she is also gorgeous. If nothing else Ash is the sort to never ask for help and is ready to fight off an army single handed. As long as that powerful lionheart of hers belongs to James Shepard, the rest of her can be a willing member of the team.

3: Alex Mercer (Prototype)
Broody, mean spirited and kind of sociopathic? Well yes but then every group needs one of those and with his almost supernatural biological skill set Alex Mercer is the team equivilant of a WMD, so I think with the right leadership and team support he can prove to be a valuable asset.

4: Raz (Psychonauts)
Some might argue that adding a carefree youngster to a team that includes an alien warlord, lady marine and sociopathic biological weapon is a bit of an odd choice but it is worth noting that Raz is a freaking Psychonaut and as such has psychic energy and powers beyond our wildest dreams. Plus he would add a cheerful spark to a group that is otherwise serious, toughened or just grim.

Go Team!

Oh, they must have been in a game? Fine.

The Noid
Hamtaro
A Nintendog
And that guy who walks back and forth in Half-Life 2 repeating himself.

To make this interesting, I'm going to make all my picks (sort of) fit the roles of the actual Avengers:

-Alcatraz from Crysis 2 as the one with the power armor.

-Amaterasu from Okami as the physical god.

-Aela the Huntress from Skyrim, because turning into a werewolf is even better than Hulking-out.

-Ulysses from Fallout: New Vegas as the flag-wearing badass.

I think this is fair, as there are a few Ghost in the Shell games :p

Decent leader, excellent skills across multiple areas (from hacking to sniping to stealth infiltration) and for bonus points she has active camoflauge capabilities and a fully robotic body capable of exceptional feats of strength. Honestly, this almost feels like cheating.

Definitely feels like this one's cheating, because Revan's noted in game as having ungodly power and incredible tactical ability.

As noted by Breen in HL2, Freeman is an excellent pawn for those controlling him and is surprisingly (considering that he's a theoretical physicist) a one-man army with a habit of getting out of tight situations. His debut has him surviving and taking the fight to an apparent alien invasion force and winning, and he subsequently goes on to become an almost messanic figure as he deals a crippling blow to the Combine

This is really an either/or for me, as I'd want both for exactly the same reasons: They're very mobile, they've mastered the art of stealth and Eagle Vision makes them perfect for reconnaisance.

OOoo!! I love these!!

Ratchet and Clank for the extreme heavy firepower and silly one liners.

Commander Shepard, because, you know.

My personal Bhaalspawn from Baldur's Gate, for a different kind of extreme heavy firepower... (yay sorcerer!!)

and then Wolverine for the close ups. Because he is short and Canadian.

Captain America - The leader of the group and standard muscle guy always on the front lines.

[http://media.photobucket.com/image/yusei fudo/MrsThiam/YUSEI/Yusei_fudo.png?o=6]
Yusei Fudo - The brains of the operation, working in the background as a computer expert, hacker, mechanic and engineer.

[http://media.photobucket.com/image/sonic the hedgehog/coolguy1257/Sonic.png?o=42]
Sonic the Hedgehog - The speed and overqualified scout/reconnaisance expert who is not afraid to jump in the fray.

KOS-MOS - The gun/artillery/armory expert who is quiet, knowlegeable, and reserved, letting her vast array of weapons do the talking.

I know that there are far more better qualified member to fill each slot, but I wanted to be unique and use characters that I really like for my Avenger Squad.

Well I would go with:

Garrus Vakarian: He can fill in resident badass role.
Nathan Drake: He can fill in the resident wisecracking guy role.
Sarevok: He can fill in the rehabilitated villain role.
and Lightning: She can fill in the resident love interest role.

Edit: Oh yeah.... forgot to mention the best character of all.

Me: I will fill in the resident assassin stealth guy role.

Ah, this thread again, cool!

Give me:

-Altair Ibn ican'tremember, legendary assassin.
-Ezio Auditore da Firenze etc., legendary assassin.
-That main character guy from Assassin's Creed III, legendary assassin.
-Alyx Vance, alien ass kicker.

Then I have Desmond and his squad back at base, supporting me from there with intel, cracking jokes and eating all of the pies, and if we ever need saving, I call in the Lambda Squad, consisting of:

-Gordon Freeman, ultimate warrior.
-His crowbar.
-Garrus Vakarian, aka Dirty Harry in space!

Plus we have the whole army of the Brotherhood of Assassins.

WITH THE RULES:

-Master Chief
-Batman
-Alyx Vance
-Garrus Vakarian

WITHOUT THE RULES:

-Garrus
-Tali
-Master Chief
-The Doctor
-Batman
-Daenerys Targaryen
-Gandalf

(Because by my count, there are 7 Avengers, if you count the normal people and Samuel L. Jackson)

I suppose it would depend what unknowable evil the team was fighting exactly who I'd bring. Gotta have teams for different scenarios. BUT! Trying to parallel Marvel's Avengers as closely as I could, I'd call upon:

Batman, because he's the goddamn Batman.
Leon Kennedy, because he's fucking Leon.
The Doctor, because he's got a way out of everything.
Brock Sampson, because he's Brock "Motherfucking" Sampson.

My team is so OP.

EDIT: I missed the video game only part... Well, I'm counting Batman and the Doctor, because they both have games about them. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no Venture Bros. game, so...

Gambit, because he's my favorite comic book character, and he's been in some games, therefore, he counts in my opinion!

Second EDIT: Wow, for all of the bashing so many people on this website give Halo, I'm seeing a lot of Master Chiefs, and even one for the Arbitor. Warms my heart.
:p Say what you want about MC, you cannot deny that he is a retardedly powerful fucking badass. I mean, how many armies has he taken on single handedly and come out on top? For god's sake he gets to the Covies' homeworld and just starts cleaning house by himself!

:p As for your entries, yes, even if they weren't originally a game character, so long as they're actually in a game they count. Unfortunately though - and I do mean unfortunately - there is no Venture Bros. game...though you bet your ass I'd buy one. :3

Edit: I've noticed some people saying some iteration "Another one of these topics"...buuuuut they don't seem to be as annoyed as with the "Dickhead vs Slapdick" topics...of which I've been noticing quite a few lately.

Alright:
-Team Fortress 2's Heavy. Someone to shoot the things, smash the things, and supply sandvitch
-Alyx Vance. Mainly for her tech skills, but also for her shooting skills.
-Nathan Drake. We'll need someone to make one-liners and come onto Alyx.
-Sasha Nein. His psychic abilities presumably exceed Raz's, and he'll also act as a foil to Nate's and Heavy's large personalities.
