Sorry Bulletstorm didn't do better among other reviewers. I can't over-state how much fun it has been.

I am saddened to see that, when I tried to play multi-player this AM, no one, and I mean no body what so ever, was around to join me :-(

I suppose this review did a half decent job, giving it an 8.0 but noting its weaknesses (like, no freaking body being around to play multi player!!!!)

As I wrote, good game, on Steam for $10 now. I recommend you check it out.

Bulletstorm is awesome. A bit consolish on the PC, but nothing a few tweaks can't fix. Multiplayer's been dead for a while now. You can probably thank GFWL for that.

What is GFWL ?

You'd think cuz of the Steam sale, the multi-player would have new life. Sadly it is not.

Games for Windows Live.
I believe it was shut down, but managed to kill a bunch of multiplayer before it was taken out. It was that bad.

Oh how lucky you are, GFWL or "games for windows live" was basically a much much much worse version of Uplay

Oh man. Yeah, it still makes me log on. So, I guess it is still alive. Sadly.

I had Bioshock 2 for Windows Live and it just stopped working. I later found it it stopped working for that particular game on Windows 7 64 bit. That's like, only, their flagship OS.

I try to avoid it but it is still out there. Groan!

I liked Bulletstorm a lot, but I stopped playing after it kept on blue-screening my computer, so I just decided to cut it loose. That being said though, my computer has pretty much changed every piece of hardware that matters since then, so I might have to give it another look at some point.

Ahhh, Bulletstorm. One of my all-time favourite FPS games.

I played the game on console near launch (lacking a decent computer to play it... still do.) and I'm fairly certain the Multiplayer was dead on arrival, being tied to the likes of Games For Windows Live and GameSpy. Fortunately, if you're wanting to play Multiplayer you can still set up a lobby and just play it by yourself. Works as a nice little horde mode if you want to do some creative killing without plot.

Sadly the multiplayer is crap. It's just a tiny arena where you try to score point for kills. The single player is fucking awesome though. This is Co-op by the way. And dying is difficult.
I wish they had put in Co-op campaign.

The mechanics in place for killing many hordes of cannon fodder baddies in many fun and creative ways, would only have worked well for co-op campaigns (something like L4D would've been nice), but sadly there isn't one.

What's left is a hilarious and maybe even underrated, single player campaign and a boring arena.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. ITMT, I just completed an amazing chapter that had me defending myself from oncoming torpedoes, dropping a fuel tank on some flying monster that was chasing me.. really fun, imaginative and different stuff!

I loved Bulletstorm and regularly pour one out for its aborted sequel. Here's to you ,Waggleton P. Tallylicker. But seriously, People Can Fly should really get back to it. I would have loved it in place of Gears:Baird Edition. I seriously want to know how Ishee's story ends. That bit at the end was waaaaaaay too heavy for an ending, especially for Original Cuss Word Combinations: The Game.

Bulletstorms multiplayer was pretty dead back when it first came out, its really annoying trying find online games in NZ that arent CoD or Battlefield

Honestly at this point the one thing i remember about Bulletstorm is having to toggle each weapons alt-fire.

Also something about a childs toy.

Games For Windows Live.

Also Wolfenstein: The New Order is better. Not as slow, better story with relatable characters, and doesn't feel as constrained by the casing of modern gaming like Bulletstorm is.

It's still a good game, but it faded into obscurity due to that awful DRM and due to People Can Fly being restrained by Epic in design. The madcap fun is still there, but it could be so much more.

It was probably bursting with life back in its infancy but I don't think you'll find too many people playing muliplayer on taht now --- more of a vintage game to kill time on its SP... if it has one worth anything.
