First off, Bulletstorm is super fun. It certainly lived up to my expectations and it's kinda ruined other shooters for me now due to their lack of telling you what you just did was awesome, when you just did something awesome.

What skill-shots have been your favourite? And are there any you just cannot seem to pull off?

Can't bloody do it:

I just cannot seem to guide that Sniper bullet into the enemies' nutsacks. They always dodge to the side and it seems nigh on impossible do pull off. There must be some simple way I'm missing...

BTW does anyone know how to unlock all of the hidden ones in the last panel so we know what we've missed?

you do the leash's special move to launch enemies in the air and splatter them all over the ceiling

I just won't work for me, they either dodge or live

I can help you there good sir.
Damage them with a few shots and get them right next to each other.
also, you know in the demo at the end where there is a green guy, a normal shooting guy and a heavy with a shotgun? just before the 4 green dudes before the end? thats the best place for me to do it. wrap the green guy and kick him at the shooter.

Get them when they can't dodge. Examples include enemies manning turrets, enemies suspended by the thumper and enemies kicked to the ground.

Also, be aware that only the targeted enemy will dodge. So if you really want to be fancy, wait for two enemies to stand near each other, lock onto one then direct the bullet into the other's crotch. You'll get Nutcraker, Hotshot and Bluff all for just one bullet.

Two dudes near each other. Spray Dude A with bullets then kick him down. Switch weapons, ball-and-chain Dude B. Kick Dude B into Dude A (leash if needed). Detonate. Easy.

I know how to do it in principal man. and I stand below them, after thumping them (yes the demo has the thumper) but it just won't give me it. It sucks. i get it occasionally, but it seems like its just hit and miss for me. :-/

i really like "Sledgehammer" with a charged Bouncer shot. the clang of bouncing steel, the satisfying THUD upon impact and the flying, sizzling gibs. also Grenade Gag but only when they scream "RELEASE, RELEASE!"

Thanks for the infor on how to get nutcracker Zhukov.

Initially I did try to get get through the bluff skillshot but the other guys moved as well.

They even managed to dive-roll away when I was right in front of them... Which I thought was kind of retarted... Like anime style unrealistic... But then again who can steer a bullet there days or dodge a sniper shot lol.

Anyway I'll lookout for a turret dude on my very hard diff playthrough after I grab the sniper rifle and try it that way.

Nutcracker: Use a nom parasite in the park on Echoes mode. You can get it easily that way .

I just can't get enough of shotgun sliding. It is just so much fun.

Honorable mentions go out to Shish kebab (killing two or more enemies with one Penetrator round) and the shotgun charge shot (feels like you are firing the friggin' Sun!)

Can't bloody do it: Whatever the one is called where you are supposed to decapitate a guy with a flail attached to an object. I just can't get it to work.

That one is damn hard. I managed to chop a guy in helf but not decapitate.

I did noticed that turret gunners are easy fodder for this one though, going to try again today.

The one where you have to decapitate two enemies with the charged flail... now that's tricky.

I bought Bulletstorm for the PS3 today and to be honest I just don't find the shillshot system to be that good.

Most of the skillshots are completely useless since there is no reason to pull them off besides getting points, and this kills it for me. The only skillshots that I typically try pulling of are the ones that are actually useful, like sticking a bomb to an enemy and then kicking said enemy into a group of other enemies just killing all of them, those skillshots I use because they are effective. All of the other ones are just pointless wastes of time who's only purpose is scoring points, and while that may be just fine and dandy in the Echo mode its annoying in the story campaign.

Overall, my impressions with the game are mixed. It has some fun elements, but somehow I already feel bored with the game after having played it for less then just a few hours.

The whole point of the game is to kill enemies in interesting ways, not to reward you for killing them in useful ways. Anyway, you need the points to upgrade and buy weapons.
My favorite (I only have the demo) would have to be the Flyswatter + Voodoo Doll combo.
I can't get any of the non-headshot skillshots, though (Gag Reflex, Mercy, etc.) I can't resist not kicking them.

Are you charging the gun? The bullet only becomes firework after you've charged it.

OT: Favourite: Tie between Kick of Doom and Homing Bomb.
I can't really think of a really hard one, maybe hitting someone with drill in air then hit someone of the ground with it =/

Also, funniest moment. Charged sniper, shoot, hit a guy in the foot, stear him into 3 others behind him, press detonate :3

The skillshots aren't really designed to be useful, they're designed to be funny and awesome to look at. The fact that game gives you little 'good job!' after doing one is great to me, it's like it's saying 'you're thinking just like the devs did'.

I found it awesome in the story mode, it's a real rush seeing all the numbers and coloured slogans popping up as you spread gibs all over the place... guess it just comes down to taste at the end of the day.

If I may highlight one point you made:

This has been a staple of gaming from the start... from Space Invaders to Black Ops, it's all about how many points you can rack up.

Maybe you don't get a kick from it which is, y'know, totally fine cos that's just how you feel, but a lot of us love the feeling of racking up points and getting bonuses for doing more stylish and outlandish things.

Lucky you >.> I tried over and over to get that by drilling a bunch of skulls running at me in a line (the level you get the drill gun). Took me AGES!
