You know, when I saw the original bully video, I thought it was great that kid stood up for himself, and its good that the bully got taught a lesson and that is the end of it. But when the bully thinks its alright to lie on television, that crosses the line. Its pretty damn obvious who is the bully here, and it sure as hell isn't the Zangeif Kid. What kind of kid at his age has an eyebrow ring and that haircut anyway?

You don't make sense. If he is the victim, he shouldn't show remorse.
Uh... i never said he was the victim...quite the opposite actually...

The kid says that he is sorry (after glancing at his father) in the final moments of the video and I dont believe him to be sincere. As i said: "i think his lack of remorse is obvious".

Other than that, i agree with the (numbered) points you mentioned.

"He started it", and my favourite "he slapped me and ran away".... that fat kid slapped you... and RAN away... im not questioning the decision just remarking a little loop hole in the story.

I call it bullshit... This Gale kid, if "called off" first, decided to call his friends annd publicly try and humiliate Zangief's Kid...

['Seen that crap happen all the time, and now that the tables have turned he has directed to the audience, and his fake crocodile tears he yells "i am innocent... he started the whole situation."

Unfortenatly to the accurate view of the public Gayle is nothing more than a Bully, thats feeling stressed by beying under the spotlight. His punishment was deserved and to you Zangief Kid we Salute']

Thats my opinion...

Never the less, I agree, the skinny kid if lying.
1-We see him crying before the interview. To show us how hurt he is. But when he actually talks about the fight or the worldwide anger he is receiving, his emotional level stays the same. Th emotions should come back.

2-"He must know some sort of fighting sport."
NO! he doesn't. He didn't block you! Don't try to find excuses for your defeat.

3-Look at him move. He is provocative. He's in the open and the fat kid is staying still against the wall; he's unsure and on the defensive.

4-"He abused me first".... "abuse" such distancing language. Not true! Liar! When the fat kid tells his story, he describes the actions, he doesn't summarize them.

5-If the fat one had provoked and insulted him to the point where he fights a kid twice his age, he would have a very precise memory of what he said.
And again the way he moves. Hes not exploding in anger. Hes hitting, looking at the effect his punch got, then hitting again. He's not going berserk. He's in control!

6-The tone of voice. The fat one has a much more timid and shy tone of voice. Witch is to be expected from a bullied kid.
The skinny one is more affirmative and confident when he talks.

That little kid a liar and a bully. I bet he even lies to his parents.

The video is stupid. They didn't interview the teachers or other classmates. They would easily know who's the bully and who's the punching bag.
And what about the guy filming ??
http://au.todaytonight.yahoo.com/article/9055786/consumer/bully-video-storm

They interviewed him too. He claims Casey called him a ****** which I think is bullshit as well, see my earlier post in this thread. And again no asking about whether or not Casey's claim that they had been harassing him for two weeks prior is true or not. Seriously this guys journalism is bad and he should feel bad.

I'm actually getting somewhat paranoid of 'news' articles on the escapist these days, it seems like it's less about what's actually happening and more about provoking a reaction... I supposed one could compare it to Fox news >:|

Unless this little jerk has all along developed the ability of foresight while we weren't looking and told his friends to record that video for sake of a future beating from his "bully" to gather evidence... yeah, bullshit.

Someone can't handle taking responsibility for their actions, it seems.

I call bullshit.

Mainly because that's just a face that begs to be punched. It's also difficult to believe a little kid with a piercing.

I'm glad we didn't have cameras everywhere like they do now. I was in a fight similar to this one in Jr. High. My friend slapped a guy in the back of his head (I was about 20 feet away leaning against the brick wall) but laughed at it. The guy saw me and charged at me like a bull (his last name ironically), so I moved to the side and let him slam his head into the wall, then he tried to punch me but I military pressed him and dropped him on his face.

It was the only time I was ever on time to my english class lol All the principal did was make us shake hands and apologize to each other. The late 80's were a great time.

no matter what nothing was learned and nothing will. as someone who was bullied in school i think it was awsome how the lil kid got slammed because the one who throws the first punch to a statement like get to class that any teacher would have told him the same thing. honestly it is stuff that happens at schools all the time. 2 kids fight one could get severly hurt and the kids parents fight legally. the 16 year olds parents should be happy that the lil kids parents are not sueing because the same shit happened to my brother where a lil kid tried to fight him and my brother grabbed the kid by the head of his hair and the back of his pants picked him up in the air and dropped the kid after the kid took swigs at my brother. later that day the cops came to our house and tried to arrest my brother for assault but my mom told the cops that the charges were bogus along with everyone at our bus stop but it still took 2 months for the courts to clear my brother.

I don't think he's lying, really. Embellishing a bit, but I do think the kid really does believe that Casey essentially started all of this or was the one to instigate everything. He might think that, but that doesn't make it true.

That and to me it all comes down to the body language from the clip. Tells a much different story than anything else, coupled with the comments from the person taking the film, supposedly his friend. Gale is cocky, actively taunting and trying to fake out Casey as well as trying to do a kind of boxing floating around. Leads me to believe that he doesn't think Casey will fight back and that he has already won.

Plus the way that Casey just stops and walks away after the body slam also lends to the theory that he is not the aggressor. The fact that he made this interview raises questions, and I'm sure there's more to this story than what's in the clip- but if I had to guess, I would say that Gale is trying to do some damage control to his reputation, or for some legal reasoning.

This is somewhat horrible, and I can't believe I feel this way...but for some reason, I find it hard to feel sorry for the rat-tailed kid at all.

I don't get a sense of remorse. He's even half-smiling during his interview, and explicitly states that he doesn't feel sorry for what he's done (quickly corrected by his father: "BAD PR MOVE BAD!")

Yes, he's just a kid, but it's hard to feel sorry for him when all he tries to do is shift the blame, taking none upon himself whatsoever

Am I the only one who can't help but think of the fight between Lennie and Curley in "Of Mice and Men"?

Ether way, as it has been said many times before, he is lying through his teeth about being the victim.

He does a lot of backtracking, which never proves good in a defense of your character:

1) Says he's not sorry, but then looks over at his dad and changes his tune
2) Says he doesn't have anger issues, then says "People say things and I snap, and chase them, and hit them"

It's just sad though, that the media would bring him in to try to draw ratings without really doing any research into the story. That might have just all been made up (which I believe), but they didn't even try to find the truth before parading him out to the nation.
