Eh...I´m not buying this kid´s story. His lack of remorse is obvious and the fact that he told a girl on facebook that she should be raped tells me a lot about his character.
When was this?
It came shortly after the video went viral. A girl negatively commented on his actions, he responded that she should be beaten and raped.

EDIT: Found it.
Woah. That's crossed the line as well. I don't think the pip-squeak has much credibility. Not that middle schoolers have much credibility in general.

"That's just what he's saying, to make everyone stick up for him"

Looks to me like he's the one making up bollocks, to be left alone. He deserves what he got, I highly doubt Casey randomly told him to get to class, besides, look at the way that little shit is jumping around acting like he's Chuck Norris. Bollocks to your little made up story.

Edit: After thinking about this for a minute, it reminds me of something...

...this little shit didnt learn, i've seen this happen before...when the bully gets away with it although its clearly BS, i hate it.

PERSONALLY I think the second was pretty funny XD
Meh I prefer the first one, music is half the humor XD

OMG does this mean we have to philosophically rage about each others decisions until we've discovered every avenue or debate and ultimately start 20 threads about this ONE incident while being interviewed by Fox News or Today Tonight, SIMPLY because some might like the first video and others the second?

Seriously people...knock it off...kid tries bullying again he's a dead man, we get that part.
I agree the first one was better composed but I just couldn't stop laughing at the second one when he crunched on the ground XD

A few things... The statements of the kid holding the camera is pretty much sided with Gale that it's hard to believe that Casey was the one who started the bullying. The way this kid "stands up" to Casey's "bullying" seems a little too... "confident" a response. I would guess his gestures would entail a more "I'm sick of your shit" type to them, when it was Casey who seems to have tried to dissuade any type of act before getting punched in the face. His attitude is dreadfully obvious. Gale's story is the one that's bollocks. His parents' actions that are trying to get him to apologize are also enough to say that he's the one at fault.

I don't really know what to say.

On one hand, he could be telling the absolute truth and has suffered a great misjustice.

On the other, he could be a lying SOB and deserved everything he got.

At the moment, I consider myself neutral in this debate.

To be fair they both look like arseholes to me.

If the little guy is a bully, then he's not very smart. For a start, the guy you're trying to bully is built like a wrestler, and is twice the size of you... in all directions.

And for another... who the hell made the video? Can't imagine why one of his friends would put the video on the interwebs.

Bah. Can't believe this is what counts as news this week. Libya's gone nuts, Bahrain's well on the way, and Japan is still ridiculously fucked over. And here is the internet, laying on hate to a poor retarded kid, who doesn't even know how to bully properly.

Bah.

If he's right, it still wouldn't qualify the punches in the face.

If he just calls you an idiot it's still mean but you don't punch him in the face. And you Certainly don't have people record it. If you don't want to look bad, I also suggest not doing a little faux pas "boxer dance" after punching him in the face.

And might I suggest that everyone chill the hell out? This kid is TWELVE. I swear I see less seething hatred towards F-ing SERIAL KILLERS.
Gotta agree that the people here are a bit... aggressive. But, then again, a lot of these guys have been bullied before posting. None of them were murdered before posting.

Personally I've been in the good fortune to not have had either, but I see what they're saying. Still, while I think the stories clink together, and I don't see the situation as having happened any other way, Ritchard's not in the position to play the sympathetic card.

After all, he had friends and a recording. His best approach, I think, would be an apology, and try to make amends with The Casey. Perhaps a friendship could emerge?

Perhaps the world will see that the line between the bully and the bullied is merely a wavering ripple? That all differences fall in the face of our common trait; that we are human?

...Cool story, bro.
Brought a tear to my eye, friend...

I do not hate or demonize Richard, but a few things come off as conflicting.

1) he's not sorry for what he did, even the reporter admits to it.
2) If you've ever snapped, (I have) you don't bounce like a boxer, you explode until you've had enough time to calm down and realize what your doing (like me) or your physically stopped from doing so (Restrained or worn out).
3)He's thin, seems to wear cool clothes, has a fair sized posse of school friends, and nothing to make fun of, short of his teeth. I personally find it hard to think he was bullied.

He got what was coming, as his Mom admits, and learned his lesson. If we see him in another, similar video then I can't defend him, though I am glad to see he's not injured from the slam.

All i know is what i've seen:

Evidence against Richard:
1: His attack was caught on video
2: punches Casey in the face before we see anything else
3: Dancing around like he was, thinking he was hot shit
4: it took this long for him to speak out, only after this has gone viral
5: other people have talked about how richard bullied the other kid
6: After richard was pwned, that other girl stepped in to stop them from going after Casey
7: His facebook post
8: Richards freinds in the background cheering richard on and verbally attacking Casey
9: He was the smaller kid attacking the bigger kid and trying to look like some kinda tough guy

Evidence against Casey
1: The words of someone who was filmed punching him in the face
2: A lack of evidence agianst him.
3: He just stood there and took it for the first couple of second, kinda fishy
4: He had the presence of mind to stop after Richard was down and walk away

My Conclusion, this little shit Richard is lying through his teeth (which his is lucky to still have after that incident). I can only imagine what it feel like, for this small time little shit to suddenly find himself the target of waves of hatred and ridicule from all over the world. Well, peotic justice is awesome.

I was always one of the tallest kids in my grade throughout gradeschool, I was also bullied the most by scrawny little kids; size doesn't matter, it's all personality.

And clearly, you have never known how a bully group acts; they are not friends, the instant one of the members gets humiliated, they will be targeted by the others.

OT: Yeah, I'm surprised anybody would even consider this kid to be innocent, he's clearly lying through his teeth.

Honestly? As someone who is now in his mid 20's, and spent basically all of his school years being teased for being overweight, I can readily identify with Casey. I was always told to ignore the bullies and not fight back, but 9/10 times, this just makes the bullies think you're an even better target.

While I applaude Casey for standing up for himself, I don't think he needed to body slam the little bastard who was giving him crap, but honestly, you sorta don't think when you just snap like that.

It could have ended much worse than it did, so we should just be thankful no one was seriously hurt.

I do agree that the bully just screams "Bogan" though. Especially his parents >>

judging by the haircut, he's about to get a rat-tail. which is most commonly worn by what some Australian's call "station rat's" these kids vary in age usually under 18. they smoke, drink and desecrate public property. if he looked even slightly more respectful I might of considered his story up until he states that "go to class" is a seriously enraging comment.

I'm pretty much on board with everyone else and don't believe Gale at all. Still, one thing we don't know (I think) that we keep assuming is that the person with the camera is Gale's friend. He could be the Casey's friend, or just someone who saw a fight and pulled out his cell phone. Either way, Gale seemed way too intent on what he was doing to be called the victim. If he's not the victim, then neither of them is and they're both just two guys who got into a fight.

I must admit, this video is a bit of a guilty pleasure, not just because he's a bully but because he's a stupid kid. As a single adult man without any kids, they're nothing but constant annoyances to me whenever they're around, so it kind of felt good to see one finally get his comeuppance for his childish behavior.

Did he deserve to get the short end of the stick when Casey snapped? Yes.

Does he deserve the death threats and constant harassment that may follow him his entire life? No.

Does he deserve to win the lawsuit? Hell no.
