I thought that was going to be handled by Bungie.

The Zelda franchise is amazing, that's why, save Wind Waker. I don't regard that game very highly at all, but in the case of Ocarina of Time, that game is the highest rated of all, so using the only universal rating system in existence (I know it's pretty a pretty crappy system of comparing every single game, but it's all we've got) it is the best game ever. Adding opinions to that, it's still impossible for it to be a bad or sucky game in the eyes of anyone with credibility toward his opinion.

Also, old timey graphics isn't a legitimate arguement. Visual quality is different from the fun of the gameplay, a fact a commonly disregarded and as such has led to games like Modern Warfare 2, a game that, like Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, fell way short.

I was under the impression that master chief at least would come back in another game.

Hey, I don't cheat! Stop talking badly about my gamertag!

Nah, but seriously, I was kinda hoping for the Halo franchise to continue, cause it shows a series with potential that isn't that bad. But it's nice to see that the Halo fans won't be completely left out.
yeahh Microsoft will most likely continue the Halo franchise
I personally felt a lotta work was put into Halo Wars so that it wasn't just some knock-off console RTS (hey, ol' Ensemble Studios made it) so at least Microsoft's milking it with some love haha

but as for Bungie with Activision, we'll just have to see what's new to come lol (R.I.P. Infinity Ward...)

Ugh, I had to read that five or six times before it said something other than,
"Bungie won't leave halo."
"Reach players in the cold."
Stupid colon.

AND OF COURSE BUNGIEwill say theyWILL DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN NOT TO ALIENATE THEIR PERPLEXEDLY RABID FANBASE. The fact bungie even has a fanbase after releasing four mediocre console shooters in a row, who's only real worth is that they were the least bit functional, likely confuses them as much as it does me.
If you tried playing a Halo game instead of hating it for the same made up reasons as everyone else on the internet you'd see just how much effort Bungie put into supporting their game for the sake of a community they legitimately care about.
Don't get me wrong, you're free to shit all over Halo like making sure people know you hate it is the only thing keeping you alive, but god damn, at least shoot for credibility by making some of your statements less bafflingly incorrect next time.

Please stop assuming everyone who finds halo aggressively mediocre simply hasn't played any of the games.

Bungie made a functional console shooter. That was pretty impressive way back when, but they made a functional console shooter with stealth auto-aim, cover modes, and regenerating health. All implemented to minimize the amount a player would have to rely on a controller to function in a game.

The specific reasoning behind stealth auto-aim is self-evident. But cover modes and regenerating health were implemented to minimize the amount of input required to survive. Admirable in theory, as console controls are extremely limited, but it translates to developing and selling a game that plays itself just enough to trick people into thinking they're making meaningful contributions to the game.

Saying these promote tactical play is dogshit. They promote sprinting from cover to cover while under fire, because you know exactly how much damage you can take and exactly how long it will take to fully regenerate.
Because a different health system that isn't the one you like makes it the worst thing ever right?

Grow up. Its not a tactical game. Its a game where people relax and shoot things in the face in a universe where the normal rules do not apply. Saying its horrible because it has mechanics that you personally do not like is like saying you don't like how cows produce milk, therefore they're horrible cows.

^^set up for a cash cow line^^

Well, I think it would be naive if they thought it would be released and no more work.

Although looking forward ot it!

Really? Wind Waker's my favorite Zelda, and although OoT is fun, I see it as fairly overrated. Go figure.

Becuase it took Master Chief 3 games to eliminate the current threat to the universe. Final Fantasy and Zelda (which really had nothing to do with this topic.) Usually have you defeat a world wide evil ruler/monster of chaos.

Also there are 6 Halos: Combat Evolved,2,3,Wars,ODST and the new Reach, plus by comparison the Halo series is relativly young and hasn't been out for 4 console generation.

Edit: Isn't Marathon loosey considered to be apart of the Halo Universe's past? 7.

First of all, neither of those are "shit"

and secondly, you should be glad it's only getting 4 sequels, it's stopping while it's ahead, and will be remembered fondly, instead of being dragged out until it becomes stale and boring, and then remembered as something stale and boring.

OH, well, it can be overrated in your eyes, but I think it is just stupid to even think calling it bad in any way is legitimate. My point is just that it deserves more credit than is being given it in those past few posts.

BTW, I'm not saying that the Halo franchise is bad. I like Halo, well Halo CE at least. Halo 2 wasn't great in my eyes and 3 was OK, but fell way short of the pre-market hype. Reach looks awesome.
