Yeah, you got a point there, but they had no state's rights and even less individual rights in favor of unchecked overarching federal power, so as long as we keep that from happening it shouldn't be a new USSR.

It's also not illegal to own a tank(or mobile cannon in this case). It's not street legal, and the ordinance is illega without a special permit, but the tank is not. And intimidation can go a long way to diffusing a situation by destroying the will to fight.

Show up with a tank and they aren't likely to -want- to fight back.
