But I do it anyway

I am an awful artist (proof) http://www.webcomicsnation.com/melaszepheos/pol.pman/series.php?view=single&ID=184601

And apparently not much of a comedy writer either.

However, I love drawing, and whenever I have a spare moment I often find myself with a plain piece of paper in front of me and a pencil in hand, usually adapting whichever novel I'm working on as if it were a comic book. Even as I type I'm scrawling out pages of a cyberpunk Red Riding Hood fighting a cyborg wolf (it's a long story)

So my question is Escapians, what are you awful at that you do anyway? Is it sports, gaming, writing, drawing, playing an instrument, singing? I'm not just talking like scribbling in the margins with a pen because you're bored in a lecture, or singing in the shower, I mean like actually taking the time to buy paper and pencils or going to karaokes to do whatever it is you're awful at.

Captcha: Ancient Domini. Dibs on naming an ancient society that.

There are very few things that I do for fun, and of those things, I have spent enough time doing them to not be bad at them.

I suppose singing would be one of those things I'm bad at. I'm always humming/whistling/singing a tune when I'm doing something idle, like making something in the kitchen or simply walking from one room to another.

I once sang on Rockband to Rio by Duran Duran at a party. I was awful, and can't sing, but damn it was fun.

Golfing. I'm a horrible golfer.

But I love golfing. You get to run around, hitting things with clubs, driving golf carts, and its a good reason to go out and have a wonderful day in the sun with your friends.

And, of course, I am getting better. I have my power shots down, and my chronic slice is disappearing.

Playing RPGs, I love them, but I always end up screwing my stats, or build or talent trees or whatever...

I'm awful at sports, but I play anyways, and I make varsity anyways. I'm terribly uncouth, socially speaking, but I'm always hanging out with people and talking.

Gaming, mostly. I'm "okay" at some games, but I'm terrible at fighting games. Guess what genre I find the most fun recently.
I think that's why I like Mortal Kombat. That game seems fun regardless of skill level.

With Arcade Edition coming out soon, I've been trying to get into Super Street Fighter IV again too. I just play as Dan to pretend I have a reason for sucking.
Same goes for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I just play as who I like rather than who I'm good as. Spidey, Iron Man and Viewtiful Joe, if you were curious.

Currently singing my way through various guitar hero games, and I'm awful at it. But it's fun!

There're also about 15 bits of stories on my hard drive from where I've attempted writing and given up due to shitness. I keep trying

This for me pretty much.

Especially in Metal gear solid 3, when trying to be stealthy isn't helped by Snakes rumbling belly.

I'm really not as good as writing as I like to think I am. But fuck that, I do it anyway. And I love it - so much.

singing. i'm pretty good at remembering lyrics, but i'm terrible at singing. apart from it just sounding like crap, I keep running out of air. I suppose I could take lessons, but why bother? it's not like I'd do something with it. I can just sing inside my own head, it doesn't sound that bad there :p I also get the idea in my head sometimes that I'm not such a terrible writer. except then I read stuff I wrote and the illusion is gone. Something I AM good at, is writing poems. usually the funny kind, but you gotta start somewhere ;)

Not much. I actually haven't found much that I'm horrible at. I haven't found much that I'm really good at either, I'm pretty close to average in everything I do. The few things I've found that I'm bad at I don't enjoy anyway, so nothing.

I don't enjoy doing anything. I am also not particularily good at anything.

I still write, draw and play guitar. Fucking explain that one.

Warhammer. My tactical skills certainly leave something to be desired, indicated by my decision to declare every single troop I have in play a dead man before the battle has even begun. I'm told I'd make an amusingly fitting, if not good, Imperial Guard player in 40K.

I cannot draw to save my life. We tested my artistic abilities, and found I was incapable of drawing blobs. I still love to doodle, though.
