There's a "¬," and a "¦" next to the exclamation mark on my keyboard. ',:\

Same. I think it depends on where it was made; possibly americans have the tilde there, while here in Europe (or at least the UK) it's ¬/`/¦.

I think keyboards should have a "Ruined FOREVER [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuinedFOREVER]" button marketed to the fanboys who think any change in formula means that the work they are fanboys of is invariably ruined forever. However, every time the key is pressed, it also pops up a dialogue box saying something along the lines of "Calm down and use your brain a little." since it's usually used by people not really thinking about how it could be a good thing.

On my computer I need a NUM LOCK button. I shit you not, my laptop doesn't have a NUM LOCK button or an equivalent button. I am forced into being a Newfag, seeing as I can't Tri-Force (without using copypasta on a copypasta-able Tri-Force).

I wish. It does have the Fn button, but my computer is absolutely void of a NUM LOCK. I had a friend of the family who works with computer look at it. He declared that it is just nonexistent. I don't know how well he knows his keyboards, but I think I am willing to give up on looking after staring at the thing for thirty minutes. Thanks, though.
