I've bought Oblivion six times now(it went up by one since the last thread!)

-GOTY on Xbox 360
-Original on Xbox 360
-GOTY physical copy on PC
-GOTY on PS3
-GOTY on PS3
-GOTY Deluxe digitally for PC

Let's see about other games. I think I've bought Rome: Total War like three times and the Fallout 3 that many as well. Sadly the rest aren't notable, only bought them twice. Mostly just to either get them for a different console I.E. Skyrim, or because digital is easier, Empire at War and Medieval 2: Total War.

The first physical game I ever re-bought was Virtua Quest just to say that I have a copy every console version of said game... However, the first digital game I ever re-bought was Skullgirls, which I have the OG Konami-published version, the Encore version (free off PSN for me, but bought on Steam anyway), and 2nd Encore version, which I re-bought on Steam (as a gift) and off PSN for the PS4 that I don't have yet...

Other than that, I already had multiple copies of the Genesis Era Sonic games spread across the Sonic Gems Collection for the GameCube, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the PS3, and the playable Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog game in Sonic Generations, which I could have added one more copy to the mix of Genesis Era Sonic games if I did buy that Sonic games bundle on Steam, which would have net me another copy of more than just Sonic Generation with a playable Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog game included, I think... Also, I bought all the North American-released versions of the Kingdom Hearts games and Tales of Symphonia... I want to include the Jak and Daxter series, the Ratchet & Clank series, and God of War series, but I did not buy their respected PSP games [beforehand], that one Jak game that no one talks about (and it's not Jak X), or God of War III Remastered for the PS4...

<color=white>FPLOON Note: There might be other games that I probably have multiple copies of, but these were the most prominent ones that came to mind... especially Virtua Quest and definitely all the versions of Skullgirls hands down...

I did buy the Suguri series twice, mostly because I was so incredibly happy it was made available on Steam. I own a physical copy, and had been playing it through Steam as a non-Steam game for years before. Same with Age of Wonders. And I guess I could say the same for Age of Empires 2/3 and Septerra Core, but I technically got those as gifts before buying them for myself on Steam years later.

I also own physical copies of the PC and 360 versions of Devil May Cry 4. Picked up the latter years because I wanted to play the game on something that would run well (didn't have a good computer when I bought the first one).

Definitely did this for Shadows of the Colossus, but it was because I didn't have Ico, not just because it was updated. The price was right too. Very few of my games are redos, largely because I just keep my equipment

I have bought Shogun Total War three times, latest from Steam, because the previous versions wouldn't work on my computer anymore. Same thing with Medieval Total War.

Give me a second. It's after midnight here and I need to think...

Kingdom Hearts--Original and the PS3 Collection
Kingdom Hearts II--Same as above
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories--GBA, PS2, and PS3 .

Final Fantasy VII--Original and PS4.

Halo--Original and 360

Ninja Gaiden--Original and Black
Ninja Gaiden II--Original and Sigma II

Mass Effect--Entire trilogy, 360 and PS3 versions
Dragon Age: Inquisition--PS3 and PS4

Tales of Symphonia--Original and PS3

Final Fantasy X--Original and PS3
Final Fantasy X-2--Original and PS3 (obviously)

Ico--Original and PS3
Shadow of the Colossus--Original and PS3

Resident Evil 4--PS2 and PS3

Journey--PS3 and PS4 (although 4 was free, so...)

Medal of Honor: Frontline--Original and digital that came with Medal of Honor remake

BioShock--original and digital that came with...Infinite I think?

Dark Souls II--original and PS4

That's all I can think of right now. I intend to pick up the remake of Valkyria Chronicles when it comes out, so I'll have the original the PS4 of that as well.

Morrowind for Xbox, GOTY Morrowind for Xbox, Physical Disc for PC, then digital on Steam, then again on GoG (cause you also got Arena, Daggerfall, Redguard and Battlespire).

Skyrim for 360, PS3, and Steam. Fallout New Vegas too for those 3.

Sonic Adventure 2 for Gamecube, then 360, and recently on Steam.

Other games Ive bought 2 or more times also include Gen 1 Pok?mon games, DOOM 1 and 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Oblivion, Diablo 3, Samurai Warriors 2 Empires, Warriors Orochi 3 (original for 360, Hyper for Wii U, and Ultimate for PS4), Rayman Legends (Wii U, PS4, Xbone), Terraria (PS3, PS4, 360, PC), Minecraft... likely tons more. A lot of games I got on console first but then got on Steam so I can play them even after I move on from the system, especially older ones like Gamecube or original Xbox.

Yus, it's the precursor to Estival, which I've also got on Vita.

Was sincerely considering a PS4 purchase just for the game...buuuut, it's still pretty nice on the V.

I bought Skyrim twice. Once on my xbox 360 and then again when I got a PC. I'd never consider that a waste of money since modding the game basically turns it into a brand new experience if you want.

Also Shining Force. I owned it on disc in the Sega Smash Pack and then I bought it against on Steam.

Morrowind, Oblivion GOTY and base Skyrim twice thanks to the Elder Scrolls Anthology boxset. I only owned Morrowind as a lousy extra CD, which came with a new video card purchase at the time, so I finally have a proper copy.

I bought The Witcher 2 again when the Enchanted Edition retail was released, probably if there will be a retail complete/EE for TW3 I'll do that again in a heartbeat. Because CDPR rocks.

I have Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity like 6 times, thanks to Larian bundling them as downloadable codes in Divinity Anthology and Original Sin.

I have Original Sin 5 times, as 2 co-op retail editions and I got a beta code witch upgraded to full edition upon release (that was free I guess). I gifted most of them away, so I have all my RPG loving friends to play with.

Rebought my entire Xbox 360 library during assorted steam sales, since that poor thing is ancient (it's one from release) and makes horrible grinding sounds whenever you turn it on. It's amazing the little bastard is still going, since it's never been serviced, has been dropped several times (thanks, brothers) and has gone through several periods of not being turned on for 6ish months.

Also bought Final Fantasy XII again, but it's the International Zodiac Job System, so that kinda counts as a separate game*, right?

[sub]*It doesn't, the biggest difference is there's a shittier license system and you can make the idio- I mean, Guests who follow you not do stupid shit 99% of the time. That's it.[/sub]

Well, considering getting System Shock 2's original CD (that's right, I hunted down a copy!) to run on modern computers is a total arse, I instantly jumped at the chance to buy it on Steam. Pretty much the same for Star Wars Battlefront 2, which, even worse, came on 5 CDs.

I have only bought games I already own again if the original install disc is damaged beyond use. Sometimes a Steam bundle that's on sale will already have a game I own in it. But if I do already own a physical copy that is perfectly fine, but won't work on a Windows 10 computer, I will buy a digital copy of the game, if it's on sale.

I have bought a lot of games a second time on Steam because I like not having to find the disks, and I have also bought games on GOG because I like having a DRM free version if possible. My most repurchased game is Morrowind. I bought a copy on release, loaned it to a friend, never got it back. I bought a second copy, and later gave it to my brother. I bought the GOTY version, then later got it on Steam, and later got it on GOG. I may be a little mad. But at least it is a good game.

i bought games on steam/GOG that i used to have retail because they were easier to make working on new windows (GOG is especially good at this). Other than that the only times i remmeber is bundles when i get same game i already had because its bundled with others. this usually ends in me giving that second copy away to somone that doesnt have it.

Due to gifts, I've ended up with multiple copies of Morrowind (although originally I didn't have the GOTY version with the expansion packs, so not total redundancy). Weirder was the numerous times when I was younger that my father bought extra Sega Genesis....Genesi? We ended up with three or four of them and I have no idea why.

I still have three copies of Sonic Adventure.
I got my first one for my Gamecube, then one came with my Dreamcast, and finally I got the one that came in that 360 collection.

Same with Dishonored.

Oh! And Mirror's Edge too.

And Abe's Oddysee.

....I think that's all of them? Maybe one or two I've missed.

I really try not to, as a general rule, although the availability of old games on new consoles, especially old consoles that I have to share with my younger brother and remain at our parents' house, has led me to buy a few multiple times. I think a couple of the VC games I got free as well due to Club Nintendo. I've picked up a few remakes, but usually only at a steal price. I did pick up a few PS3 games for steam, mainly due to shadow/graphical issues (Deus Ex:HR I'm looking at you and your shitty PS3 shadows).

Super Mario Bros. 1-3, World, Kirby's Adventure (NES, SNES to Wii/Wii U VC)

Super Mario 64 (DS remake to Wii) - never actually owned the N64 version, but played rented it

Mega Man 1-6 (NES to PS2 collection, MMLC on PC)
Mega Man 7, 8 (SNES, PS1 to PS2 collection)
Mega Man X1-X6 (SNES, PS1 to PS2 collection)

Castlevania III (NES to Wii/Wii U VC)

Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64 to Wii VC)

Star Fox 64 (N64 to 3DS remake)

Metroid Prime Trilogy (GC, Wii to Wii U VC)

FFX,X-2 (PS2 to PS3 remake)

Batman: AA, Batman: AC, Transformers: WFC, Deus Ex: HR (PS3 to steam, sale or bundle)

PS: This doesn't count buying multiple copies of old games because we didn't realize we owned them, or given to us by others (Zelda 64...)
