Unlike my government, i'll take my victories one at a time. Yes, the SOPA shinanigan is over (read: "shelved indefinately")and we have shown how we feel about internet censorship. Yes, there is also PIPA, BS, etc. but when those pop up we'll knock them down like this one. Keep vigilant, keep voting, and keep signing peitions and we'll stay on top of this. Speaking of which, if there is a peition for non-europeans to sign against ACTA, link it here. I'm sure you could pick up some support ;D.

Remember the "Clear Skies" act? It actually weakened enforcement of several pollutants. No one thought that 'clear skies' would be bad.
If they change the name of SOPA to say, the "Protecting Online Rights Act," do you think it will have as much opposition?

I lol when SOPA and PIPA got this much attention and backlash when a bill that allows ISPs to monitor your EVERY SINGLE TEENY TINY BIT OF THING you do on the internet, thus allowing them to hold information such as credit card numbers, google searches, torrents downloaded, etc. for 18 months and is allowed to hand over to the police at a mere request not only passes but nobody raises an eyebrow about it, nor do you hear a slight bit of opposition online when it's just as draconian, badly written, ambiguous and big-brotherly law as SOPA.
I agree with ya, but there isn't much a internet denizen can do about these things beyond what we're already doing :/. Well media awareness would help but they're more likely to be against us than to support a free internet.Miles000 said:

Legalising marijuana? Never promised that. He promised to respect already established state law regarding MEDICAL marijuana, and has not done well on that promise. But, he NEVER promised to legalise marijuana and I think you know that.
Raising minimum wage? We would have if the House wouldn't cockblock him at every turn, so you can thank them for that particular problem. He hasn't broken the promise so much as the promise was met with incredibly partizan fuckaroundery from the House as a base political point.
And lastly, he has fulfilled the promise to pull the troops out wholeheartedly. This, along with Obamacare is one of the prime examples of major policy promises kept. Your last point has no business being in this list whatsoever. I know this and I don't even live in America.
