C4 in MW2

So my question is this. I am the one out of like seven people to use c4 consistently? I play 3rd person tactical on Xbox 360 and most of the games are objective based, like domination for example. I can plant a c4 at A and run off to defend B. Then when I hear that A is being capped. BOOOM! Double kill. I can understand that working once, MAYBE twice in a game but in some I can pull this off maybe a dozen times or so. Not that they figure out how to avoid it mind you but that the time runs out. It's a big square of explosive with a red LED flasher sitting in the middle of the objective. I don't even bother to hide it anymore and they always take the bait. Is C4 SO uncommonly used that I can repeatedly kill 10th prestige's with one of the "oldest tricks in the book"?

All I'm saying is that I can't wait until I unlock c4. Domination is my favourite gametype.

Catapulting two people into the skybox after setting a carbomb has a unique and charming appeal. Bonus points if they see you or the c4 a split second before the explosion.

on PC most of the games are simply too fast paced for C4.

however I mostly play TDM so if you want to cover an area you use a claymore because you can set and forget.

c4 is nice but I've been disappointed by it before, I find it isn't quite powerful enough or random object seem to block the blast.

claymores are far more consistent and easier to use

One of my favorites is setting the C4 right smack in the middle of the Domination flag, I love playing 3rd Person Team Tactical, it works especially well on maps like Afghan and Estate, always put it on your sniper class so you can blend with the surrounding environment. Its way funnier in Capture the Flag though, some guy running along to take it thinking how strange it is to not see anyone then BOOM!!! Flag returned. Still hilarious in Domination though "We're losing Charlie!" KABOOM! "Er... nevermind".

Yeah, I always use C4 in Domination. I usually have it equipped if I'm not using Semtex. It's kind of fun to throw it down out of boredom while I'm searching for enemies then randomly set it off before I go into combat. I've gotten more than one kill that way. I feel like a massive douche, but not enough to make me stop doing it.

I had C4 equipped on most of my classes in CoD4, but I've gone off it in MW2 for a few reasons. First off you only get 1 charge to detonate at a time. Secondly, it's unlocked way later than the other more commonly used equipment. Last but not least it replaces your grenade/semtex which I find invaluable. I've yet to try it with danger close/scavenger but it seems easier to just stick with play styles I'm used to.

C4 is always fun...i think most people just don't have the patience to sit and wait for someone to get near them and they go off to do other things like rushing in and knifing.

I used it today to kill a person holding a riot shield. It was Search and Destroy where we were defending Bomb Site A, as I threw the C4 behind the guy with the shield, as he tried to ram me. Then I clicked the detonator, and I got 500 EXP.

Easiest 500 EXP you'll ever earn.

end of story. C4 is awesome. Not so much for snipers, claymores are more handy for sniping classes

For me, C4 doesn't consistently get kills like other equipment (i.e. claymores), and it has the added bonus of needing to press a button.

Maybe I play too much deathmatch and not enough objective.

C4 is great for killing boosters in FFA. Other than that... yeah it's terrible. Semtex has a bigger blast radius and is much faster to use, or claymores are better if you're just trying to set an explosive ambush. Either way, C4 is outclassed.
