Yeah you might want to cut down on sugar and start eating fruits instead of drinking sodas.
I feel like Captain Planet should say something about this too.
Do you realize what you have done! You have convinced Ted Turner to make a webseries! OT It gave my dad a stomach condition, if you switch to diet and eat plenty of real food, you should evade any serious effects.

If you get yourself addicted to cocaine, then your caffeine addiction should lessen. It worked for me. ;)
While I know you're joking, I'm not sure if you're actually referring to a personal experience (cocaine addiction).

The main reason I'm even mentioning this is just in people-watching, most of the coke heads I know try to augment the high, mitigate crashing and stay "up" by drinking lots of coffee in the day and a booze and whatever downers are around to take off the sketchy edge and get them to bed at night.

Just a pattern I noticed. Blow fiends like their coffee, it seems to me.
You're absolutely right. I've noticed the same thing.

I'm not sure about the caffeine (a very high dose could kill you though)
I just know the soda is god awful for you

That stuff rots your bones
A lethal dose is into the grams range, probably double digits unless you are a very tiny person. Since an energy drink with a huge amount of caffeine has around 160mg you would have to drink about drink a shit ton of them in a small amount of time to have a chance of killing yourself.

It is those stayawake pills you gotta worry about. You could kill yourself with those if you start popping them like candy.

I have MASSIVE amounts of caffeine, but the only problem I have encountered is teeth issues. I dont get headaches, sore joints, jitters, or sleep problems because of it, I find that quite strange, and I have gone as long as a month with and without the juice. Me without Skittles on the other hand...

Over the last few weeks, I've been eating and drinking alot more junk food (Depression does that to me) and I think I've developed an addiction to caffeine. Last night I drank 2 cans of Pepsi before bed, and I often go through several bottles of Coke a day at school.

Does this pose any serious threat to my health?
Yeah too much caffine can kill you. In fact too much of anything can kill you.
But yeah you'll need to worry more about your teeth.

Isn't diet even worse for you? With the brain killer things they put in it.

It sure does, long term high dose exposure to the kind of drinks caffeine comes in is bad for your heart and for your bones. Also caffeine is really quite addictive and the withdrawal symptoms are terrible.

Gotta admit I'm horribly addicted to soda, pepsi for preference, but if I can't get it , I'll drink the diet one, even tho I don't like it, there's any proof you needed.

The downsides are it's not doing my teeth any favours, and it's certainly contributing factor in me becoming overweight, the other main one being the willpower of a politician at an expenses claim.

I had that. It gets to the stage where you cant stay awake for more than 4 hours without a can of red bull.
And that leads to caffeine immunity. Once you achieve immunity you will stop ingesting caffeine.

I used to be addicted but became immune and am know an alcoholic of some kind.
Oh and in the long run, yes it will fuck with your health if you ingest too much of it.

Diet soda has aspartame and sucralose, which is fake sugar, and is many times worse for you than real sugar. It has caused cancer in lab mice.

Go try an espresso, get it with a shot of white chocolate if you don't like the taste.

THAT will show you what a caffeine addiction is.

I remember quitting cold turkey for a week. That was a very weird week for me.

Having a water bottle by me helped me not drink soda. So try that if you think it'll help.

Someone gave my work a whole crate of energy drinks once, and we were allowed to have as much as we wanted. I looked at the cans, and they said not to have more than three cans in one day,so of course i drank all three cans immediately. I started sweating and shaking and my thoughts became disjointed. This lasted for about an hour before I crashed and practically fell asleep on my feet.

Moral of the story? If energy drinks have to come with warnings, they're not good for you. Also, three cans of Monster in a row is good for lulz if you don't mind sweating through your shirt.

Haha. Energy Drinks only give me the shits and I don't know why hence I avoid them. I feel for the OP though I am trying to break my caffeine habit right now as well and it is a real *****. I didn't realize how hard is was going to be till I started trying to do it. The headaches are a real *****.
