Seriously the videogames industry needs a non profit body who can make statements based on fact about things like this and the 'Animal Crossing is only for kids and pedos' thing police pulled outta their asses. (I know pedobear doesn't really come under their remit)
There's a stand up comedian over here in London, who's obsessed with My Little Pony, and he's also an ex wrestler, and I've never once looked at him and thought 'well he must being into little girls because he likes toys.
Does he look like he'd be a pedo - for a start how long would he go unnoticed looking like that?
I'd seriously like to see if there's been any studies to see what percentage of people have paedophiliac tendencies, as I bet there's fatal diseases with a far higher hit rate that we pay far less attention to and spend far less money dealing with.
OF course, we've also got a culture that condemns pedos, but at the same time does all it can to demand that girls of about 10 make sure they're concerned about looks, image, weight, etc.
Of course I agree pedos are bad, but we should take another look at how we're sexualising girls of a younger and younger age, like Justin Bieber for instance (that's a he? really?)
