OOC: Damn so much information was shared while I was not in the room. Can we please just pretend Charles came up in time to hear this?

Could a successful set of rolls identify what the Kitab Al-Azif is? I.e. occult rolls, ideas and cross-referencing in the Library? Unless Travis has sufficiently done this? I couldn't tell if he actually found an accurate representation of that book or not.
Occult will definatly help.

I managed to extract only the name of the book from Prof. Spencers library. Those demons your talking about are part of another title for the book, as it has two.
OOC; I'm so confused, does that mean we have the book or not? So we know the title, but not what it contains?
No, Toe found out what the words, written on the list of what was in that crate down, means. No body actually knows what the books are or what importance they have.

I rolled a 31 and my history skill is 90, so I think I passed that.

Max nodded to himself. "I do remember something about the book," he said, sounding pleased.

OOC: So, what does Max know, o Keeper?
Those phrases are of anciet Arabic. You remember Dr Spence talking of strange beliefs that they had including weired demon gods that would destroy the world. Other than that, nothing about the book.

Done and done.

Something else, does anyone have any skills in Arabic. If not, it's not super important.

IC: "I've only heard of that title. I no nothing of any books. Do you think that could have been the object of the murderer's desire? Hubert had been talking of aquiring these things for quite some time."

He turns back to the others.

"I don't know what assisstance I could be identifying the body. Perhaps I may look at whatever clothing he has left?"

Jacob made an affirmative-gestured to Saheed before turning to Travis;

"As you seem particularly displeased with Saheed at the moment, perhaps it is best that he proves his co-operation to you personally - would you mind taking him down to the basement whilst I attempt to research this book?"

Feeling too impatient to wait for a reply, Jacob walks up the stairs to the library, ready to research the first name, The Book of the Approacher. As he enters the Library he attempts to think over everything he has read and written over the years, everything he has discussed, debunked and discredited or been completely stumped by;

Right then;

Occult skill = 80, rolled 57

Just in case, some extra rolls!

Library Skill = 50, rolled 15 (That isn't good enough to check really is it, not that I could learn anything about the dewey decimal system from this)

Idea = 75, rolled 13 (again, nice roll but nothing to be learned I imagine)

For history skill 50 I rolled an awesome 8 ( probably the best dice rolls Ive had in my entire life happening right now)

That's all I can think of to roll, much luckier than last time I guess - c'mon Purp, on with the plottage revalationings in the spoiler taggerings!

Right, I'm off for the night...try not to solve the murder without me!

This book doesn't seem to exist. The only information you can find is what the title means. But when you find that out, it's not refurring to any book at all. Just the words. Looking further into the history into the occult, there was an ancient book according only to legend that could stirr upon the dead. It's history is shrouded in secret.

"I remember Dr. Spencer mention that in one of his history lessons," Max said. "The title is ancient Arabic in origin. He mentioned some kind of ancient demon gods bent on destroying the world that they believed in." He frowned. "Nothing about that specific book, though. I guess that wasn't as helpful as I thought."

As the others continued the discussion, Travis led Saheed to the cellar. "I must warn you Saheed, prepare yourself... it isnt a pretty sight to witness." Travis explained as the two of them entered the basement. Walking over to the bodies, Travis motioned towards the bodies and pieces of evidence. Travis asked "So, Saheed... do you recognise the burnt body at all Saheed?"

So, has everyone aquired a firearm? It seems to me that the only weapon to be touched is the pistol, so you better make sure you have the appropriate weapons before we head to the dig site.

Saheed pulls out a hanky and covers his nose.

"Well, that is Dr Spencer's cat in the corner. How many people do you think could do this? That man is hanging off the wall."

Saheed bends down and plays with some of the burnt fabric.

"I would think this is most definatly Mr Spencer... but how could such a thing happen?"

"I have no clue, and the mystery of the fire just enhances this mystery. Now, are you sure that you dont have any more relevant information to this mystery?" Travis asked. "Or, should we be looking elsewere for clues...".

"Well, Mr Spencer quired the crate from a boy called Benji. I may be able to track him down for you. Other than that, I don't know of any enemies Mr Spencer had. However I am less close to him then you are of course. I have only known him for a few weeks."

Staring for a moment, Travis sighed, "You do have a point Saheed. So, you try to track that boy named Benji down. Bring him here if you find him, if not... Dont forget, we are still going to that dig site.". Glancing at the box, Travis thought 'Maybe I can find another clue in the crate, its a long shot but I have to try'.

I search the open box, and search for hidden items.

Spot Hidden: 25

Roll: 97

So, how did my search of the crate turn out? Sure wish I had gotten that Spot Hidden roll, oh well.

Not a thing to be found, Travis exits the room with Saheed and takes a seat on a bench in the lobby.

"Do you think this might have something to do with the temple he told us about yesterday? Perhaps someone else wanted to recover those artifacts and killed the Doctor so that he would not take them here?" Jack asked the other people standing in the lobby.

"I think we need to visit this temple, perhaps there we will find the people responsible for this".

"Perhaps overzealous bandits? A French company travled their once. I am not sure whatever happened to them though. The boy was with them at the time and took the Artifacts so maybe, the French soliders took them back. For anymore I cannot be so sure. Though the boat to take us to the temple. It will arrive in another 2 days. We have some time on our hands."

Serching in the box you find lots of shreaded paper.

"If you wish I will find the where about of Benji and bring him here for you. Or did anyone wish to accompany me?"[/spoiler]

"Bandits, well i guess we better be prepared then!" Charles exclaims as he begins to walk towards Dr. Spencer's office where he had over heard there were weapons. Spotting the weapons in a safe, picking up a 12-gauge shotgun Charles thinks to himself this will take down the freaks who did this.

OOC: I don't know how many of the weapons are left so if both the shotguns are already gone tell me and I will edit. Also how much ammo is there?

"Well while I'm in here I might as well take a look around." Charles tells himself as he begins to search through the room.

My roll 11 (sweet) and my skill level 25. I don't know if there is anything left in here but if there is I wanna find it!

Max, disheartened by his lack of anything relevant to add to the investigation, wandered slowly out of the main hall. He saw one of the others heading up the stairs to Dr. Spencer's office, and for lack of anything better to do followed. He entered the room right after Charles and gave the office a cursory examination, his eyes coming to rest on the pile of weapons.

"I don't think I'm going to be very helpful with any of this," he said, gingerly picking up a rifle. "Murders, mysterious thefts...and did someone mention bandits? I'm out of my depth. I think we all are." He eyed the rifle in his hands dubiously.

"I'll accompany you Saheed, as I... I need to get out of this museum. Its just too quiet..." Travis spoke with a shiver. Walking over to Saheed, he stood side by side him and waited for any other volunteers.

"I'll go with you two to try and find this Benji. I need to find as muc information as I can before we can make any arrests".

Jack looked at his feet, so much for that holiday he thought.

Any weapons left still? It isn't that necessary yet but I wouldn't mind a small pistol if the chance arises, something that'll shoot but won't break my poor diddle writer's shoulder.

Walking down the stairs, notes still in hand, Jacob heard Saheed ask for volunteers, and Jack mention a 'Benji'.

"Any stunning revelations Saheed? I've basically found nothing in regards to the book, so if you have any leads I might be of help. So then, who's Benji?"

The prospect of a fight was music to Tony's ears, and he cracked his knuckles for effect.

"Bandits? Oh, this is going to be good. I've not had a decent brawl in ages."
