OOC; Still hanging around in the background, probably no posts til Monday properly.
Asked Sandy about Doom 3 and he said that they'd gone in a completely different direction, he loved Serious Sam and thought Doom 3 should have been what Painkiller was.

Samuel had been looking through the items in the cases, if any clues could be found in the lobby, he'd hopefully find them.

Just as he examined the last of the glass cases, Saheed came rushing in the door with a worried look on his face. Samuel watched as Travis led him down to the basement, where that awful charred smell was emanating from. Sam decided long ago, that he'd be just fine hearing the accounts from the others. No need to go down there to see what they are talking about. In truth, he was still holding onto the idea that his friend, Spencer, was still alive and well, and seeing that corpse could very well end that hope.
A moment after Saheed entered, Jack came back as well. He hadn't noticed him leave, must have found another door? No matter, he was curious as to what was going on, all this talk of symbols, books, weapons, and now people sneaking about was making him uneasy.
"Uhm, Jack, where was it that you went off to in all this commotion? Did you find out anything more, perhaps Hubert's whereabouts?" Samuel edged his way closer to the others but stayed near the wall and avoided the basement door as best he could. That smell, oh god that awful smell
Saheed had asked if anyone would tag along with him to find this boy, Benji, and Sam was happy to take any excuse available to get out of here. "I'll come along as well, Saheed."
I'm not much use as for investigative ways, but I am good with spotting hidden items (comes from years of staring at the night sky looking for anything that could be found i.e. new planets = big money for astronomers)
I hate to do this, but...I'm going to be gone for a week, starting tomorrow. So Max is going to have to be lurking in the background of the group for a while. I'll try to catch up when I get back.
"Benji, was a small Egyptian boy who apparently went to Memnon with a French platoon. He came back with these items. Mr Spencer managed to find them quite recently."
Travis, Jack, Jon patricks, Tony and Samuel had all decided to leave the Museum. It had become to eerie and to akward to be around any longer.
Saheed just managed to have enough space in his care for the investigators to squeeze in.
Saheed pulled up to an old house on the poorer districy of Cairo. The residents looked in awe of the clean dressed group and the shiney car. Knocking on the door held no answer. Saheed attempted to open it, but the thing seemed locked and boarded up from the other side.
"I think it's blocked" Jacob surmised, "So even if Tony could unlock it without tools, I doubt the locals would take kindly to us barging the door down...maybe there's another entrance? If not, there is always that option left, as long as none of the neighbours call the police."
"Well, maybe something terrible has occured here as well..." Travis said in a foreboding sense. "If any residents are home, I am sure that they wont mind if I knock on the back door. If not, then I'm going in regarless of manners.". Leaving the group for now, Travis began to circle the house looking for any alternative entry point, be it door or window...

Looking around, there isnt much to see for Travis.
OOC: Would I at least be able to see any doors or windows?
"The door does seem pretty impassable," Samuel mentions and presses his ear against the door with another knock, trying to locate any boards that were placed over the door to barricade it.

Let me know what I hear on the other side.
Listening intently, he barely noticed Travis slipping around the other sides of the house and was only vaguely aware of all the onlookers ogling the car and the members of the party.
"Well I guess the rest of us are going to stay here. Despite the dead people, I like it in here. I hope that doesn't sound terrible. I suppose I could occupy myself with this book here. Just make sure that if you guys go anywhere you take me with you." He opens the book and begins looking through the interesting information in the Egyptian book.
Once again left for a couple of days so if this post conflicts with anything just tell me.
Jack stares at a child who walked up to him and said something in modern day Egyptian. Jack took out a shinny coin and gave it to the boy to go play with. He looked down the street at the row of poorly built shacks lined in a mess across a dirt road. The people here are poor but they don't seem to be suffering he thought to himself.
A black cat ran across the road and he couldn't decide if that was a bad sign or a good one.
"That door is locked and I thinking kicking down this door would be quite rude, perhaps we should try and look for a back door" Jack asked.
The cat stares at Jack and then at Saheed. It backs away slowly and runs away.
Travis and Tony look around the back. There is a small crack up on the roof. If they managed to get a boost they could fall through. There's a tin sheet covering the hole from weather damage inside but it should be able to rip off easily.
(If you're under a size of 13 you can slip through it. It's not really big)
(PS: Also Blayze you can check that roll. Make another roll on a D100. If it's over, roll a D6 and add it on)
Samuel presses his ear on the door. He can hear some murmer from the other side. It's very fast and sucking in a lot of air as if he's crying or in a psychotic babble.
OOC: You can kick down the door. I should have mentioned this previously. Just roll a number on a D100 and I'll tell you if you've past. That number is to counter the hidden value of the door on a resistance chart.
Travis had almost missed the hole on the roof when Tony grabbed Travis, motioning towards the hole. Both of the investigators stared at it, and came to the conclusion that one of them would have to boost the other. "Well, I think that if you boost me up Tony, I can make my way down to the front door and unlock it." Travis said. Pacing by the damaged piece of roof, Travis waited for Tony's reply.
EDIT: If you happen to agree with me, just control my character for a bit and make him enter the hole in the roof.
"I wouldn't recommend going in by there. If you need help when you're inside, you'll be on your own. Let's look around a bit more, see if there's a better way in."
Checking... roll of a 38. Damn. Have to get over my base score, don't I?

IC: "Well, I think it will be less noticable if we open the door from the inside. So, hoist me up will you?" Travis asked, and Tony complied with more than a worried glance. Stepping onto his cupped hand, Travis was lifted high up and managed to scramble onto the roof. Resting momentarily, Travis said to Tony "Now, go tell the others that I'm entering the building from the roof. Oh, and dont worry, I'm sure that I'll be perfectly fine, all I have to do is open a door.".
With that, Travis removed the tin sheet, carefully setting it aside. Taking a quick glance inside, Travis prepared himself and dropped himself into the house...

Being still and quiet, Travis is sure that nothing could have heard him. Now, he looked around the gloom and blinked the sun glare from his eyes...
Samuel hears a muffled whispering, possibly psychotic mumbling behind the sealed door. His first thought is that someone is in there, and is boarded up for a reason, this thought is quickly followed by the realization that he is the only one that knows this...
Samuel rushes around the side of the house on the tail of Jack and Travis, yelling "There's someone inside! There's someone inside!" Just in time to see Travis dropping in through the roof. "He might need help, we need to get in there fast," Samuel begins looking around for a ladder or anything that can help get himself and Jack both up to the roof as well.

If nothing is nearby, I'll try boosting Jack up the the roof, he seems a bit more capable in a fight than my Astronomer
Jack? Tony's the closest person around. I think Jack's wandered off somewhere, scaring cats and paying off urchins. Anyway...
"Great. I told that idiot to wait until we knew more about this place. Did he listen, though?" Tony muttered under his breath. "Before you give me a leg up, though... Do you have a gun I could borrow? If not, I'll have to make do with whatever I can use as a weapon."
Speaking of which...
