Call Of Duty and why we keep going back to it...

I actually stopped playing it a while ago. Mainly because the case cracked the disk. But even before that I haven't touched the game in months. I don't give a shit about high framerate, stats, graphics and whatnot. I just wasn't having fun, so I stopped playing. The controls were fine, but needed a quick edit. How people play with melee on the right stick and "B" being crouch just baffles me.

Spec-Ops was awesome though.

Damn straight. The only things that were annoying were Martyrdom, frag spam and Last Stand... basically the things that reward people for playing badly.

Just treat everyone you kill as if they had martyrdom, and it has nothing on MW2's noobtubing, knifing, unbalanced weapons, etc.

Nowdays I mostly play on Hardcore servers.

Because it's like laser tag, but in an online game?

The pros I like about MW2 Multiplayer: Sleight of hand, choosing your own weapons on spawn, the ability to unlock attachments, claymores + scavenger.

I would disagree there, go back and play COD3 now and you'll see the shooting mechanics are much clunkier than in MW.

I play with crouch on the right trigger too, it makes it easier to get out of the way of gunfire and dropshot.

I never, ever, ever knife. Ever. I just don't like it.

who ever said we keep going back to it? me and a bunch of my friends sold that game a long time ago. that game is awful. if u think that mw2 as more visceral action than halo or battlefield then u r a noob who either noobtubes,tac knifes,camps,glitches,boosts or your just the biggest moron in the world. im assuming the last one.

Yet my post was objective, made some points without resorting to flaming and has started a nice discussion, unlike yours, which was badly punctuated and insults a complete stranger for no apparent reason.

Somehow I doubt I'm the biggest moron in the thread.

oh and that one game u played in mw2 that was awesome yeah that was still one game i get 5 good games in a row on halo.

Why we keep coming back to it? With Episode 3, Portal 2, Dead Space 2, Resistance 3, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Crysis 2 and Batman: Arkham City coming out in the next 12 months, I can safely say that Call Of Duty can go and die quietly. Not that I ever liked it much in the first place, but there are games that I just appreciate so much more. Probably because they are more fun, (for me of course.)

It's a good series but I really prefer WaW to MW2, at least in ways. I dunno why there's so much hatred for WaW, another team took the work of the other and made a great game out of it. It certainly does have things the other doesn't...like dismemberment and Nazi Zombies.

MW2 Multiplayer just isn't my thing, there's just a lot of stupidity in that game. I know there's nice people out there but they're lifted high into the air by the sheer number of morons on the figurative scale.

I did not like mw2 multiplayer AT ALL.The only weapon that was ever effective enough to kill things was my knife.My guns are not effective enough against that 2-hit kill rifle everyone and their dog has.after 6 hours of playing i stopped after instakill number 269.And noobtubes users can go suck a cactus dick.The single player was fun though.

Don't take this as a personal attack. I just grow weary of hearing so many sing this game's praises as if there is no other game that can compare. Same goes for many other games.

Don't worry I don't... as always these are just my opinions and I'm trying to weigh up the good with the bad. Not sure if you know it but I did quite a differently toned MW2 thread recently that was quite popular...

It probably didn't help that a co-worker today was going on and on about how awesome he is at MW2, how he knows how to use (and frequently uses) every glitch/exploit, and how "f#cking awesome" the game was. It especially didn't help my mood that he was all but saying that any other game "is a piece of sh#t" and anyone that doesn't play Call of Duty is an idiot.

The guy's always a douche bag, but for some reason his rant really wore on my nerves. Guess it's just unlucky coincidence that I saw your post the same day. :/

I haven't bought a CoD since Modern Warfare.

My experience with MW2's multiplayer has led me to label it as one of the worst multiplayer games I've ever played.

I'm surprised you don't like MW2, as your tone, vernacular, grammar and methods of self-expression are all very similar to those on the average MW2 server.

I think you'd fit right in.

Oh, and calling someone 'noob', 'dumb' and 'biggest moron in the world' to my mind counts as flaming (it has one 'm', by the way. You just denied performing a drumming technique.)

But it's ok... it's hard to be offended by someone so clearly desperate for attention.

And bananas are more spherical than apples, it just depends what angle you look at it from.

I personally hate the controls, and it is escpecially bad when i play Cod then play bad company and start doing wierd thing because the controls are different.

Those pictures just reminded me why i hate Cod. Its so damn innacurate, its like the developers dont care about accuracy or realism. as a former Cadet sergeant for the royal marine cadets i cant tell you how many times ive been teaching a class and some kid uses video game logic, gained from cod.
