Man,remember that time when Borderlands releases DLC that actually does stuff and is interesting and worth every penny I've spent on it?

I could never feel that way if I purchased a CoD map pack, I feel like I'd feel dirty for a solid week afterwards.

I love how people ***** and moan about $15 DLC, I spent more money on my dinner last night and I only get to enjoy that for 15 minutes.

I was kind of hoping this wouldn't be like MW2'S DLC, sad to see I was wrong.

Also the amount of complaining here about the price is kind of irritating me. If you don't like it then just ignore it. No need for all this unnecessary hate.

Not buying a map-pack ever. This shit should be free.
itll be free once we have to pay monthly for cods online multiplayer. :) so how about we all deal with the price. the new maps sound cool. its only three bucks a map.
Don't you have to pay for Xbox Live Gold Membership?
its gunna be on top of that, everyone is complaining about the prices of the map packs and how the games arent updated often enough, so there going to start having a monthly fee, so that the game can be constantly updated(similar to tf2(pc), except not free cuz activision is moneyhungry)

and i play ps3. i hate my xbox. but i do do playstation plus so i pay anyway.although, i am somewhat dissapointed that your assuming im playing it on xbox.
That strikes me as saying we should all stop complaining about how the console developers are screwing us because if we don't submit they might screw us harder. That just seems sad in a COPS kind of way. I would say we should take a stance and we should band together to change the industry and all that stuff from watching 80s sports movies but it doesnt make a dfference. Oh, and sorry for lumping you in the Xbox, its just that for the most part a lot of games and CoD in particular tend to assign themselves to the rules of Xbox concerning DLC and Map packs and the such and then just do whatever is equivalent to the other platforms. There may not be a mandated price for DLC on PS3, but its much easier to just charge whatever they charge on the xbox for everyone.
not disappointed in you my friend, just disappointed that its come to this, you explained it in a great way, xbox is just the norm. But, playstation users have to wait and still pay, which im still gunna do, it just bugs me, bethesda is doing it too, i dont mind paying, but its the wait. No one is going to buy a console for dlc. I have both systems and i hate my xbox, i only have it for exclusives. Hell, at least ten of my friends sold their xboxes and got a ps3 once they played mine actually. Its surprising that its the lowest selling of the two(i dont count wii :p). especially since it has so much in one package, its all worked since day one, and they have a rewards program. Also free online, uless you want to pay(same price as xbox) for betas and such(im playing alot of dc universe online beta). and i know i sound like it a living ad, but im just really happy with it :p but back to my original point... FUUUUUUUUU treyarch and bethesda :p

By the way, please dont mind my spelling and grammar errors, i got three hours of sleep!

And for 15 bucks I can buy the new expansion for Bad Company 2 that has like 8 maps, new weapons, new vehicles, and new voice overs.

Obvious choice is obvious.
obvious opinion is irrelevant. i hate bad company, and some new crap isnt gunna change it. im distributing my money between these maps, assassins creed dlc, dragon age awakening, and a new effects pedal for my guitars.

I love how people are still all "WHAT THE FUCKING FUCKING SHIT FUCK SHIT FUCK FUCK SHIT FUCK ACTIVISION FIFTEEN DOLLARS FUCK SHIT EXPLETIVES" when you would have thought that since that was the price for all of MW2's map packs that it would be fairly obvious that this map pack would follow suit. It's not that surprising.

At least they're all new maps this time.
Yeah, what he said. Plus I'll bet most people here will end up buying the maps anyways.

I doubt I'll buy them if I ever get the game, but yeah, at least they're brand new maps and not 3 new ones and 2 remakes that IW said wouldn't be in the game due to balance reasons, then later they bring them over with only graphical tweaks.

Oh joy a new map pack where the campers can practice their native culture of camping and finding glitches to abuse.

Well the map pack does seem a little interesting and i'm better off with a few more maps than all the campers voting for nuketown, firing range and havana.

Why do game developers charge so much for DLC!
its not the developers choice, its the publishers and even then Microsoft charges them to place it on their marketplace. i assume Sony does too.

5 maps for the same price as Bad Company Vietnam?
Can i just say that Treyarch can Fuck off?
Stop blaming the developer, it's obvious as much as it's obvious that the sun emits light that this is Activision's decision.
Fine! Fuck off activision!

I just hope Treyarch get the matchmaking systems right this time around;
When they released DLC for WaW it seemed they expected everyone to get the DLC, as there were no separate playlists for those that had got it, and those that didn't had to live with being kicked out of the lobby and searching for a new game simply because they didn't have the required DLC.
It was not a fun time.

A. But you got to enjoy a full belly for the rest of the evening.

B. When you consider the amount of hours spend growing/rearing the food, processing it, transporting it and (If you ate out) cooking it, however much you paid for your meal was, to be honest, justified.

$15.00 for something that may have taken... (Hmmm, well, if you consider that some of these maps were finished before the release date...) about 2/3 weeks to put together while sitting on a computer and playtesting on the other hand, then yes, they are overpriced. But rather than blame the people for the game, I'd blame those 12 year olds who beg their parents for the DLC for Christmas, or Activision and Microsoft for demanding that much of our hard earned moolah.

Also, as a proud Xbox owner (Yes, I can say that with a straight face) I find myself a little disappointed that the Developers and companies can get away with under the table bribes to keep the DLC away from other systems for a month. Is that really going to make more people buy your console? Just because you're better at bribery?
