Call Of Duty Black Ops: Multiplayer Teaser Trailer

I was kind of looking forward to it, but that trailer just dampened my thoughts about it, looks way to samey and like its trying way to hard to one up mw2 by taking everything that game did and changing the settings.

Well that's a good thing right? Changing the settings would make it better, getting rid of all the bugs and hopefully powering down the Kill Streaks.

Lets hope anyway.

not exactly, cause it looks like that's ALL the changed, they are still going for the big splosion in ya face shock thing every five minutes and the MP looks just the same, and really? a RC bomb? seems like a bit of a ***** thing to include not to mention the knife thingy. It just looks like another attempt to make money, not another call of duty game (which i guess now IS just an excuse to make money). Did that make sense?

Mmmm suppose your right, but if they can get the balance issues right it could be good, and i Hope the RC car will have a timer limit, so you not just a little car the entire match, imagine 16 of them charging towards you O_O

The RC car is a kill streak (you hear "RC car standing by" like you do when you get harriers or what ever), so you wont find 16 happening at once but it still seems kind of a pain... actually now I think about it its kind of like a predator that you can counter, It will have dedicated servers, so that's a start, still looks to samey tho, so I shall sit back and wait for reviews and opinions.

The CoD series is no longer what it was back in its old days, wether thats a good or bad thing is debatable.

Nowadays CoD is all about Crazy, Fast paced action, which the game at just a mere glance, blatantly delievers better than MW2. I admire it somewhat, there harnessing the sheer mentalness of it all, i wont buy it, not my kinda thing, but still, it looks..Well..Fun?

So good on you Treyarch, put in something along the lines of SpecOps and ill buy it..maybe..probably not.

A new Zombie mode has already been confirmed =) no Spec Ops unfortunately

Zombies > Spec ops anyday, the more I read the more my cynicism about this game decreases, although I will still wait to see what reviews and friends say.

Something few people are noticing: Pause at the beginning when he's aiming down his sights and shooting the guy by the camera. The dot in the middle of his holographic sight is a smiley face.

Also, everyone's talking about balance and stuff being overpowered and what not. Honestly, the deciding factor will be whether Treyarch actively patches and balances the game. If they do that, we're golden.

Looks like it doesn't do anything better above the multiplayer of MW2 (Balancing and all), which is a shame because I thought Black Ops would at least fix some of the broken mechanics it had.

Agreed. Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer was incredibly unbalanced. And honestly, I'm not amused by this game.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but did I see some torque bow rip-off from Gears of War in this game?

I think it looks ok. But not as good as Americas Army 2 or 3.

They seem to be going into really ridiculous territory, which I say go for it. Having all these crazy spy weapons would be cool.

Seriously, this looks like a ton of fun (although unbalanced as hell) and this is one more incentive for me to pick this up seeing how I won't be playing MW3 any time soon.

You could say anything you want about Treys, but, man, they do listen to their community.

Looks interesting, it may not have the tubing and commando crap that mw2 has, but i can see the ballistic knife being almost as bad.

but the camera, remote control car seem pretty cool.

it does look more bad company/new MoH like tho, visuaully possibly movemently too.

just have to wait for the beta.

Because a crossbow with exploding arrows didn't exist before Gears of War, right? No, it has definitely never been in any other game. Not even the Diablo 2 game I have minimized right now.

OT: I'm getting kind of sick of the whole Call of Duty setup. The game needs to change its style for me to be able to get back into it. I planned on renting this game, but not buying. At this point, with nothing changing, I'll likely not even rent it.

Hell, I've bought so many CoD titles I feel like they owe me a free one. Maybe they should give me this one. That's about the only way I'll get it.

Good things:

- Sound effects seem to be better, in MW2 everything sounded like it came from a tin can
- Levels look interesting.
- That remote control car looks fun.

Bad things:

- By the gods I thought knifing was overpowered as it is, but with that ballistic knife and the lunge that guy made there...
- Killstreak spam. MW2 can actually be fun, when playing Barebones.
- Seems to, again, prefer the lone wolf play style.

What could make or break this game though, is it's balance. If they manage to fix that from MW2, and hopefully the broken spawn system too, I'd consider playing this in multiplayer.

It has some stiff competition though, as around the same time EA will launch BC2's Vietnam expansion. Oh máma...

That crossbow is going to be the new noob tube. It looks entirely too powerful.

Other than that, it looks great. Sniping looks fixed, new modes. great. I wonder what the purpose of the camera thing was at the beginning. A perk option?

It looks hard to aim though...like the sniper rifle without using the scope. And i read the splash damage can not kill you most of the time, unless it's really lucky, usually it has to hit you, and it only has 1 shot before it has to reload i think.

not to mention the time delay before it explodes, leaving you vunerable til you can reload it.

I hate to be cynical, but this looks an awful lot like MW2, yer they,ve changed a few killstreaks, and probably renamed a few perks, but i think it will be as anoying as ever, i hope they implement a 'classic' mode where they remove all killstreaks and perks and let the game rely on its gunplay, seems like a fairly sensible and easy to implement idea to me

There is actually a barebones mode on MW2, I haven't tried it all that much and I'm not sure if it removes perks, but I don't think they have killstreak rewards on it.

On the subject of the video, the knife bit at about 30 seconds in... That's the sort of thing that's been pissing me off on MW2, and one of the things I'd hoped they'd change.

did anyone else notice the care package-esk thing being dropped at 0:37-0:39 ? he even looks at it later on, being a wooden crate as opposed to a brightly coloured green metal box.

EDIT: and how about the seemingly guided missle from : 0:56-1:00 ?
