Sooo...... this is set where and when again? All I got from the trailer was a bunch of people being mulched by a heli and a guy flatlining.
ha yea same here I don't care though I'm getting the stimulus pack in a few days..
but maybe this game will fix all the online problems that went down with MW2

It's just another CoD game in my eyes.

Treyarch could redeem themselves, but I thought that about WaW as well and while it wasn't bad, it was certainly no CoD4.

As long as the enemy don't grenade spam me all the time then I'll think about getting it...but seeing as Halo: Reach and Fallout New Vegas are out in the Autumn as well, then it'll be taking a back seat to those.

Ohh yay another Cod game, just what the game industry needs. Enjoy ur gunmetal grey and drit brown games.
I'll enjoy your quoting ZP. It's people like you that give off the impression everyone on the escapist is a Yahtzee fanboy.

OT: Great. More CoD. Let's just stop making any other type of game!

The problem with that, as it is with all games based on history is we know how it ends.

If the games industry one day released a game and Pow! You're a Nazi for once, make it a Nazi spy. Sent ahead of the invasion force to Britain after the Nazi's repelled the D-Day attacks. (Yes, I am British) The eastern front is conquered by the people of Finland

And all of Europe is under their rule. The increase in resources has allowed the Nazi's to help the Japanese and a second pacific campaign erupts meaning the Americans have to pull everything they have left back to the homeland.

It's a massive game, most of the country is mapped. Sandbox, only it'll play out like the missions in Medal of Honour where you were a spy. When there is a gunfight there will be no health regeneration take a bullet somewhere vital and you're dead. You have to commit espionage and help prepare the area (You choose) for landing. You're given say a month, (measured in real time) and then depending on how well you do this or that, secondary objectives you know what I mean, depends on if you win the game or not. That would be a game

No one steals that... it's mine.

What do any of you make of the last image?
We're going to get the now standard 'view from doomed character X' sequence at some point, they're going to be either a SR-71 or A-12 pilot who gets a surface to air missiles chucked at him or flies through said nuclear kaboom...

It looks interesting. I've never really been a CoD (although I do own MW2 and enjoyed it for a while, and still somewhat do) I'll just wait and see how this pans out.

The trailer looks awesome, and it could well be all the conflicts after the second world war, who knows. Liking the fact it looks like your black ops, Although how they'll work it into the normal COd story is beyond me.

I'm guessing you play as a career soldier in the modern day peppered with flashbacks to Vietnam and Cuba.

Still, my gut tells me that with all the turmoil surrounding its conception and a name like "Call of Duty: Black Ops", this is going to be the point in the series where things fall apart.

Ahaha, a game set in the Winter War would actually justify you being an inexplicably unstoppable whirlwind of death who kills more Russians in an hour than he has meals in a month.

Also I'd love to see that Nazi spy game made. It would definitely be jarring to go through the motions of gathering intelligence, and then have to watch as the Allies die from your efforts. The psychological complexity of Nazism is definitely something that goes unrepresented in games; we're much more content to paint them as an entire nation of heartless vampire-people.

If they have a game mode similar to Nazi Zombies with alot more levels from the start then I will be most certainly getting this game.

Also if they have CO-OP Campaign. I'm not too fond on the Multiplayer. Unless they have player controlled helicopters...

the last photo is of the SR-71 Blackbird and the space man puts it after 1969 so it could be Vietnam, i am guessing that or cold war OR both maybe they seem to like jumping around in time spaces and i am liking the young captain price idea

fuck modern warfare, call of duty is its rightfull name
Please no fighting. He was trying to tell a simple joke.

It looks all right, but I was expecting the uniforms to be like the actual ones from the Vietnam war.
From what I can tell, they aren't the Olive Green drab that I've come to love.

.//conspiracy theory

You play as Captain price being questioned about previous ops he was in, by evil ruskys while in Gulag.
That i would very much love.

I'm a bit worried here, going by another one of my old favourite games (the CONFLICT series) when it gets to 'Black Ops' things go wrong

Eg: Conflict - Denied Ops.

Please don't let me down Treyarch, Coz if you do...........

If it's Vietnam.. then why is the dude using a Steyr AUG, (seen briefly during the short.) I mean there weren't Steyrs in Vietnam, they've only been in service since 1978 and the Vietnam War ended in 1975. it's definitely a Steyr too - looks silenced though.

It strengthens the theory that Aussies will be in it. Or Kiwis of course as we both use the same infantry weapon nowadays.

Screw modern warfare. This is call of duty and more some cheep sellout.

OP, that looks really promising. I might watch it 57 times just to unveil the plot.

It has been said that the game will take place in both 'Nam and the 21st century. So the AUG might just confirm that.
