Trying to get to sleep over the sound of my little brother playing cod 4 to hype himself up for black ops
I was finishing Drakensang: The River of Time and started Divinity II Dragon Knight Saga afterwards,thinking how long is it gonna take the slackers to send me the game.
That was...monday right? Yeah, monday for me anyway.
I didn't have much time to myself because I'd gotten home about six because Monday's the meeting day for a local...theatre games/acting group I'm part of right after school. The rest of the night was spent (if memory serves) filming some scenes for a religion trailer I have to do based around the concept of good vs evil (based around Bioshock, meaning half of them were just shots of me in a long white t-shirt with chains drawn on the wrists in dark rooms), as well as working on a PDM assignment and going to bed earlier than usual as I had a maths exam the next day (which I thought was easier than expected). Oh and I watched Good Game (I DO NOT MISS GOOD GAME).
Admittedly I think the game looks absolutely smashing and I'm planning on asking for it come Christmas along with...well I don't really know what else. Ironically alot of other guys in my maths class were up at the midnight launch, despite the fact that it was the school certificate exam (I'm not in year ten neither are they, just the top year 9 maths class to Aussies who understand what I'm saying).

It's the latest in the call of duty franchise, and I'd guess the rock option as it's been the status quo for all bus-stops, buses, billboards, ads, small-talk and probably even bananas as of late.matthew_lane said:

At launch probably playing Mass Effect. Noticed something weird about queueing, one shop had people out of the door and down the street, another shop about 500 yards away was almost empty with tons of Black Ops on the shelf (if a person were interested), even checked with the counter guy who seemed a bit weirded out himself when I didn't purchase 
I was there to pick it up, as a friend of mine decided to go and I loved Nazi Zombies in WaW. But even then I wasn't too excited about it. I post this because I didn't end up getting it (long story involving someone taking the last copy of the version I wanted, having decided to get it only after I said I wanted it at the end of the line), so really I was standing in line doing nothing but talking to a friend when it was released. Though I did managed to pick up Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World at midnight, and then went home to watch that. So there's that at least.

I was sleeping / playing Fallout New Vegas, it's hard to tell where the game ends and reality begins with the weather we're having in Ireland.
But then.... I cracked. I went to the video shop the next morning and rented it! I sold out man. It's funny though only paying a tenner makes me far more tolerant of games, Medal of Honor was worth a blast through. I'd be gnashing my teeth if I paid full price for it.
The hype is insane isn't it? Even now I find myself buying into it more than I should.

I was at home, getting better after having two seizures the night before, being unable to stay asleep for more than two hours, shivering constantly, and suffering from flu.

probaly at school or playing TF2 (assuming it was released on a week day somewhere in the afternoon) or asleep (if it got a international release and the time zone put me into the night)
