Call of Duty is not realistic. It is not realistic at all, even though it calls itself realistic.

It might be so compared to other, similar mainstream games such as Halo and Gears of War... but in the grand scheme of games and life it's not very.

Try Operation Flashpoint. That's real. And it's not as fun to play as Call of Duty, I must admit.

Black ops's fatal mistake? Being created. Honestly, I'm tired of seeing the FPS market flooded with this detritus.

The main problem with CoD in MW2 and BlOps is, I think, making every single player a potential 1-Man-Army (and I'm not talking about the perk). With perk combinations that make explosives huge, or knifers so ridiculously fast it's like teleportation, there no sense of teamwork, just a bunch of sociopathic mass murders set loose in a small environment and told to go nuts.

Penny Arcade said it best: "He just killed fifty people with a knife! That is the LAST person who should have The Bomb. He's no Modern Warrior. He's a f***ing psychopath."

And yes, I know I can swear on the Internet. Personal standards is all.

Yes, to a certain point is tries to be realistic, however, in terms of weapons, they don't really care. Cod realism starts roughtly at "headshots count!" and ends there

Its clearly not trying to be realistic.

and no one really says the multiplayer is supposed to take place during a certain time period.

and if they went by realism, the only guns people would be using would be 16s and AK-47s.

No. The game is fun, why should I care what period all these guns came from? Do you honestly think CoD is going to go for realism?
They definatly skipped that at Regeneration
