Longer single player campaign. Oh, and another morally ambiguous guy with killer facial hair. Seriously, captain Price and really, the whole single player campaign rocked nearly impossibly hard.

More of that.

Modern version of everything in CoD:WaW, more guns, fewer grenades, possibly a cyber-warfare level and more CQC, or melee weapon fighting.

J-man, thats the whole idea of ranking up.
If a shit player puts the hours in, they stand a better chance with all their perks against the talented players.
To be honest mate I think you're talking out your arse.
I can understand people hating a particular perk, but all of them?
If you don't like it then play another game, cos I don't think COD is changing for you.
I've said my piece, come back with whatever you want.

New perks! Mines etc.

More Cosmetic oriented awards and braggin rights, for completing specific tasks as well as getting improved and better guns and gear. More melee choices, maybe hand to hand combat.

Getting xp for doing the right strategic choices on the battlefield as holding an area, flanking and staying with your squad, and obeying the squad leaders orders as well as him getting points for giving them.

Squadleader should be able to carry out commands eg. the combat rose in the BF series.

Real Hardcore mode with no, zilch, nada nametags and you should be the one who decides when your soldier speaks and therefore is in danger of being spotted. Keep the voice commands as: Contact! Move in! etc.

"BLIND fire!" shooting round corners or from cover.

Hardcore mode with much deadlier weapons and injury mechanics. A soldier shot in the leg should slowly bleed to death and require the attention of a field medic before he kan be carried around much like that scottish guy in the original COD modern warfare, "put me down here so I can snipe"

More realistic guns, sounds, kill animations and keep the visceral feel with ringing in the ears. But above all! bigger and better maps with better graphics and complex chokepoints and realistic outdoor terrain as well as urban warfare. I know that the kids dumbs down the grafx in order to spot enemies easier and get more FPS as well as frags, hell you should´ve seen how pretty QW was with mipmap_X and fov 130..

I would like to see IW actually create some weapons of their own, and just roll with it. I'm sorry, but I'm sick and tired of using "generic automatic rifle 1" and have to switch to "generic shotgun 2". The gameplay, and story, and everything else was great in COD 4, but please, come up with some original weapons.
How can they come up with original guns, when they're trying to make a realistic war game. You can't just toss in some random weapon becuase its original. I'd love to hear some of your own weapon ideas that are totally new

No perk 2(Stopping power, juggernaur etcetera) and the XM8. That is all really, other than that nothing drastic needs to be changed bar more emphasis on teamwork and a few modes such as capture the flag.

I dunno about perks but I'd like it if they had a more realistic reloading system, but I guess the topping-off system is a "tradition" or something...

edit: Is CoD MW2 even confirmed? Last time I heard it was supposedly just a rumor >_>
Yeah, I saw it on X-Play.

The semi-skilled guy. Really.
Yeah. At close range, yeah. I mean if guy A is sniping, guy B will have a problem in that he's using a SMG.

I would like to see more perks to be counters to the kill streak reward. I always thought that COD4 should have had a stinger missile launcher that would lock onto the helicopter, and wouldn't be usable against players, or perk that would make the helicopter ignore you. Or for the dogs, you could get special grenades that would be big meaty steaks. You could throw at the dogs and they'd ignore you, or you could throw them on players, and they'd get attacked by the dogs.

EDIT:

As for what I want in MW2, I'd like Martyrdom to be nerfed or removed, and I'd like the R700 to be less pussified. It's got terrible sway and takes a really long time to steady compared to the other sniper rifles, and, above all that, has very little ammo.

In Team Deathmatch, make the spawn points actually work better than "okay here's a free one go get yourself killed." Make one team always spawn on one half of the map, and the other team on the other half of the map. This should stop a whole bunch of ten-year-olds bitching about "WAHH I CAN'T SPAWN THE BIG SCARY MAN ALWAYS KILLS ME."
I don't really get the hate for marytrdom. Somebody drops a nade, you run away or throw it away. It's not hard. I would like it made so that outside of hardcore, martyrdom only effects who kills you. It is irritating to run around a corner and get hit by a random martyrdom nade.

They need to add spawn shield, because your idea leads to spawn camping. Spawn shield is the easiest way to fix it. When you spawn, you have thirty seconds of invulnerability. As you move and shoot, that time drops extraordinarily quickly. If you take damage, it goes up. It worked in Rainbow Six: Vegas, and it will work in COD.

They need to fix being able to break a reload animation and have a loaded gun glitch. It's reasonable on some guns, where the time it takes to break the animation is about the same as much time there is in it, but the G3 could be reloaded almost immediately.

That would be a little too RPGish though, although quite nice ideas. I only point it out because it would mean not enough sales. I agree it would be good gameplay decisions as im an RPG as well as FPS die hard.

I haven't played any other CoD, but CoD4 Multiplayer seemed pretty balanced to me, with the exception of grenade launchers and the Martyrdom perk that makes me want to grenade-kill myself after I respawn. It's very much about skill, as someone already stated here. The Juggernaut perk as well as the perks that increased bullet or explosion damage seemed useless.

The game really is a great war experience. I can't think of anything that could improve it right now (because it's very late here, not because it'd be perfect otherwise), but I think the removal of the above would make many people happy. I just hope they won't screw it up more than improve it. Oh, and please don't add game modes like CTF. I really don't see it fitting.

Better Map Spawning!!!!!!!!!!
If i'm sniping, why do they spawn 5 feet behind me when I shoot them!?!

As long as they can make a single player mode that stacks up to CoD4, they'll have my $60. I've played through the story mode several times and can't get enough of some of the amazing setpieces that they concocted.

How would you implement "blind firing" in a FPS? If you stay in first person mode, you can't hit anything. If you zoom out to 3rd person, then it becomes Gears of War. Not to mention that the whole concept of "blind firing" is a bit ridiculous and out of place in a game with aspirations to realism.

I agree with this. Call of duty 3 had a brilliant spawn system. The two teams would spawn at different spots in the map and it would end up resulting in a massive firefight at one or two chokepoints that required a good bit of teamwork to suceed in.

That's not relevant to the discussion, though. It's not like level one players only start with a SMG. They have rifles too.

Other than that, a salute to your name!

1: Larger maps
2: Cars/Tanks
3: "Javalin" and "Stinger" perks(1 is fine)
4: Better "RPG"

Is that too much?

Edit:Too make the tank haters from COD5 happy(or unhappy,i don't know?)

2.5: Easy to use Tanks/Cars

Yes, but, the character was said to be using a Thompson. But yeah, you could easily out-kill a level 65 at level with the starting classes.

i think two gun attachments would make it too powerful but i'd like to see the title read moderner warfare
