And the world is so thankful for that. Where would we be without the US a-policin' us ?

P.S. Shouldn't it be "The US are the world police" ? Or is that only with British English?
Think of "The US" as a noun, rather than a group of people.

For example:

The chair is big.

not

The chair are big.

The more you know.

I got to agree. Avitar implies I'm not as happy as i look with CoD:WaW but at least there is Nazi Zombies and Mirrors edge. If Call of Duty 7 is made by treyach again then I'm thinking it should be called Call of Duty: World sucks More!!!!!!

Captain Price will return as the mission briefer/over-the-radio-advisor guy, crippled by his wounds in CoD4. He will then return at the end of the game for the final mission(s) to save the day and possibly actually die after that, in a act of heroic self-sacrifice of course. Either that, or he'll perform the act of heroic self-sacrifice... and live!

Awesome. If this is as good as COD 4 I'll definitely get it. WWII games never really interested me.

I wouldn't mind playing as the nazis. At least then I would get a different perspective, that's not a French city, a country farm or the Normandy landings.
The WW2 theme could continue but Treyarch would have to make the campaign longer and a lot more diverse. So basically include a German, Australian, Chinese and maybe another Russian campaign.

Game companies should stop recycling ideas. Gamers might also be interested in a WW1 shooter, for a change.

I just want it out in 09 but next years list of gaming doesn't look all that revolutionary. Just lots of sequels and I am still waiting for the PC versions of some games.

Just saw this on IGN. http://pc.ign.com/articles/935/935500p1.html

Thoughts? Hopes? Dreams?

They didn't say much, but hopefully this will be made by Infinity Ward. But note, there is no specification.
Thoughts = Noooooooooooooooooooooo
Hopes = Hope this is cancelled
Dreams = The day Call of Duty returns to requiring skill to play online

Call of Duty 4: 2 (and coincidentally CoD 6)
Sorry, I just thought it was a bit funny - like Rainbow Six Vegas 2, or Ghost Recon: Advance Warfighter 2. A spin-off sequel to a sequel? What next? A prequel to the sequel of a spin-off?

Argh. Not every game needs to be WW2, Near-Future/present, or SciFi. Seriously, I want a good Vietnam game really badly. Just think of how many awesome setpiece moments there could be. If done well, advancing while looking out for booby traps could be awesome. I think the main reasons there haven't been that many Vietnam games are the technical limitations that would prevent such a jungle warfare game from being immersive and non computer-frying. However, I'd say most if not all of these limitations are gone now. World War I could also be nice if done well.

So did Infinity Ward do another modern shooter and Treyarch went back to World War II?
Back to...When did they ever leave?
Call of Duty 3 was World War II, Call of Duty 4 was modern, and Call of Duty 5 is World War II, so they left the WW II era for CoD 4.

I just hope that COD:MW 2 has the ability to save profiles to portable devices, such as USB sticks.

It sucks playing it at internet cafes and having to start your game over each time.

Well, as U.S. is an acronym for The United States, which is plural, it would be The U.S. are.

And the game might just be a trap, you open the case and get enlisted. Saves a bundle on graphics, and it just might shut up the guys who think they "Pwn n00bs in RL".
