Why bother with the main story when there's so much fun to be had in the sandbox?​

I ended up with Explorer which I am inclined to do. Although I do appreciate a good main story... I love exploring the sandbox even more-so. One of the guiding reasons why I liked/loved Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Now if you'll excuse me, there's a part of the sandbox over there I haven't ventured to yet.
