Calling all single people, what are you doing to survive the 14th?

I'm planning on getting ME2 for the PS3 later today so I imagine by the time the 14th comes around I'll be deeply into that game. Trying to fight off tonsillitis will give me some time for a nice, lengthy RPG.

I'll probably also spend a fair time pointing out that people who complain about Valentine's Day and say "you should treat your person special every day not just one day!" are just as annoying and ridiculous as the people who're excited about it.

Always a fun way to pass the time.

I've got this one lengthy project going on, but I'm still practically single.

I don't hate Valentine's Day and surviving it won't require any specific measures. No cynicism nor disregarding the meaning and traditional nature of it.

In other words: I'll enjoy being by myself after school and other social occasions where I intend to be nice, since it's Valentine's Day.

I honestly don't even care about Valentine's Day, so it will just be another day, but with an emphasis on being aware that I'm single.

Also praise myself lucky that I'm not a part of a tradition which is kept alive only because the card industry wants us to buy Valentine cards. Valentine's Day is like Christmas except it's not fun for guys.

Huh? My friend calls Valentine's Day "Single's Awareness Day" like it's supposed to be some bad thing to be sans-significant-other on the 14th. But I never dug that logic. Being the survivor of 4 (count 'em 4) relationships with women who were perfectly likeable before the words "Would you like to go out with me?" were uttered. Then like I said the magic fucking words they changed in to evil psychotic ***** cunts who's only form of obtaining sustenance was by absorbing my soul through cold stares and meaningless cat-fights with my female friends. (Most of whom aren't even into guys) So I never understood the point of being in a relationship, and therefore never understood the point of Valentine's day. Maybe it's a result of getting too comfortable in the "friend zone" of a bunch of lesbians. The fact that I'm never hurting for female companionship led to my theory that putting up with someone I can't stand just on the off chance she might have sex with me if I'm "good" is just a no win endeavor. Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have an unfiltered internet connection and porn featuring hotter women than I will ever meet in real life is just a button click away.

But I digress. The 14th is a Tuesday so I'll be at work
