So I'm having a few friends stay over for the week, and apparently I don't really have any good offline multiplayer games. So can anybody suggest me some?
Preferably non-peripheral (not GH or RB) games, and on PS3 or PC (I can plug my PC onto my TV).
Thanks Guys

Little Big Planet is a good idea, depending on whether your friends are willing to play a "kiddish" game.

If you still have your old N64, dig up Mario Kart 64, the original Super Smash Bros., and Goldeneye.

Borderlands is only good for multiplayer, you can play that. Since little big planet is free in the "welcome back package" you should get it. Modern Warfare 2 might be hated on this site, but its fun with friends. Super Stardust HD Fury is also free with the "welcome back package", so you could get that if you enjoy racing games.

Isen't Castle Crashers only on Xbox360? If its not it would work. I'm not sure about Left 4 dead/2, if its avaliable for the PS3 you could also play that.

This. Castle Crashers is one of the better games for couch co-op.

For something a bit more competitive, you can't go wrong with one of the many Call of Duties out there. Split screen alleviates many of the things people tend to complain about. I'm not too big of a PS3 guy, so I don't really know many of the games.

I'd advise against LBP because much of the fun is in custom levels, and even then most of them are pretty shit. Not to mention the terribly broken controls...
Castle Crashers, seems interesting
But CoD on consoles is a no-no for me and my friends, we are just unable to play fps with a controller
LBP is free from sony, so it's alright (5 choices, already have 1, chose 2, got the other 2 with my parent's unused account)

Or maybe do you guys know any single player game that would be fun to watch while someone else plays?

This, plus possibly a fighter (Soul Calibur, Tekken, etc.), FIFA if you're into sport, and good old Halo CE warthog destruction derby.

- Tekken or any other fighting game.
- Any racing game. (Motorstorm for me.)
- Guitar Hero/Rock Band.

The new Mortal Kombat, you can have 4 player tag matches and it's a pretty good game.
