Can anyone give me some paint balling tips and tricks?

close range hurts more. fuck them up from near, and use the adrenaline to avoid any pain.

Note well: my friend got hit from 1 metre, and his vein burst, and it hasn't healed in over three years. It HURTS.

I don't know why but I always laugh at people who take Paintball uber seriously.. I mean, its cool that you know what your doing, but it is still a game.

I played a night time laser skirmish thing once, and this dude kept telling me what to do. I was all "Dude, settle down.." He kept doing it so I shot him and he raged, it was hilarious.

lol so what was the game called? Night time Laser? i had played that before in perth at a place Called "TimeZone". id probally do that again for my 18th or something i dont know yet i still got 2 years to think about it

make sure you conserve ammo actively retreating at every possible point and hiding, may look bad at the time but its always fun to be the last man on the battle feild with ammo left. They will be at your mercy. If its not teams that is.

that is resonable i should use that as a tatic, but it would take time for them to waste their ammo right? and you would have to risk getting hit serveral times. i like it!

Get camouflage. The first time I went paintballing, everyone else had it except me and my friend. Not only did I feel stupid, my jeans and sweatshirt didn't allow for stealth.

Always have an extra hopper for quick reloads. You never know when you'll need it.

you may have to fire a few shots once in a while, so the other team doesnt understand whats going on, but trust me the satisfaction of seing the entirety of the other team running away from you like chickens is worth the few times people could get hit.

At long range, often the paintballs won't burst. This is of course wind dependent - if the wind's at your back, their paintballs will have a lower kill rate and yours will fly straight and be longer range. Abuse this.

If the enemy are inexperienced, they'll be afraid of being shot. You can abuse this too by being aggressive and confident. If you can get to a defensive position far up the map very quickly, often you can pin down all of their routes simultaneously.

Of course, part of the reason why I could do that last time was that there was a silly rule that headshots don't count as kills... Ya. So, I laid down on top of a hill and managed to get my whole body behind my head and gun. Was like switching on god mode.

they all seem great points i should keep them in mind when i play next week,but the sucky thing is im part ashmatic but im a great hider, trust me the friends im going with know from experince! we played hide and seek once in the house and i hid on a bunk bed underneath crap (like old blankets,massive stuffed toys and vaccum cleaner etc on it) it had on it- they musta taking thier time cos i fell asleep up there underneath the blankets haha i was on the side agianist the wall and i was curled up. so yeah im good t camoflaging il probally take like $80 wid me and another 20 just in case...

CTF

1. Work out who gets the flag before.
2. Assist the flag catcher (known from now on as FC)
3. Try and keep him well covered but don't group around him.
4. Stick to cover. Simples.
5. Shoot over, around and under cover.
6. Don't get hit. Obvious, really.
7. Take any and all advantages. One of their team falls over? Shoot 'em repeatedly. Enemy in cover and can't get clear shot? Try and splatter the paint-ball on their cover and see if it gets him/her. DISCLAIMER: This has only happened once when I tried it. Success rate= 1/1000
8. Pain is not real.
9. Shoot to kill.
10. When FC gets flag, turn into Rambo.
11. If you can avoid a spanner, you can avoid a paint-ball

Umm.. It was just laser skirmish, but it was at night. It was outdoors and everything, lots of fun.

Wear thick, old clothing you don't need. If you don't have that, a hoodie, cup, padding, and shinguards are a good place to start. Don't underestimate armor, getting hit on any uncovered flesh will at the least cause a nasty bruise. Wipe away paint if possible, then shoot the guy who turns away because he thinks you're down. YOU ARE NOT DOWN UNTIL YOU YELL THAT YOU ARE DOWN. THIS IS IMPORTANT ENOUGH FOR CAPS LOCK. Trust me. I may have only played once, but some dicks shot my visor, and did'nt hear me say I was down, so when I turned away to leave the field, they emptied their clips on the uncovered back of my neck because I had forgotten my hoodie. They also did this after me and my buddy had taken them out and turned away. Really ruined the sport for me, unless you're playing with people you can trust to maintain some kind of honor code/anti-injury policy(no headshots, offer surrender, someone has extra armor if you forget, etc.)

Really though, expect the worst to happen, stay with your group, and be ninja-like in your movement. Best advice in this post.

im really good at running around like a headless chicken which should be alright for me. on cod im a shit aimer but i dont know in real life.. does getting first at a thorwing count? may i ask what are spanners?

I don't know what you mean by thorwing means, the spanner is a reference to Dodgeball: The Movie, I put one the last quote and Rambo is the guy who just goes bat-shit crazy most of the time in his movies, but he's good at taking cover as well.

Always use a soft brush when painting or you can scrape the shit out of your balls. I learned this the hard way.

im going paint balling soon with my art friends (well they brought it up this week and its next week yikes)and i dont know how to keep my cool in the pain balling field, so i wondering if anyone i mean ANYONE who has done paintballing please give me some pointers on it!

Okay, now however much i would love to say stealth thats not really an option in paintball. Everyone is whearing bright colours and your cover is bright air filled baloons basicaly. So throw stealth out the window.

What you should do is run either right or left instantly, keep your gun up and keep low, slide into cove when possible. Stick your head up for a fraction of a second and if you see someone pop them, dont fire like crazy though, make a few well placed fast shots. If your under fire whatever you do don't become part of a "fatal final" (look it up its a military term). Overall stay within close procimity of your team and if your spotted yell out your possition and the enemy, this will allow your team to give you back up if possible. Get out of the area when you say that though because it may also tell the enemy where you are.

Try doing that, if that doesnt work the just got bannanas and run full force into the enemy screaming BANZIIIIII with your entire team behind you.

Of course if your playing in the woods and not an areana then just be stealthy, that works amasing for me.
