How do you know it's on if the door's closed?meticadpa said:I've got a new fridge recently, and it's great and all (just a fridge, really, keeps stuff cold) except that the light inside stays on when I close the door.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Yes.BennoVonArchimboldi said:How do you know it's on if the door's closed?meticadpa said:I've got a new fridge recently, and it's great and all (just a fridge, really, keeps stuff cold) except that the light inside stays on when I close the door.

That's not meant to be as sarcastic as it sounds.

How DO you manage to know that?

I didn't buy the fridge, it was my parents. Regardless, I still use the fridge to keep various beverages at the appropriate temperature, and a flaw with the fridge affects me just as much as it affects my parents.Snake Plissken said:I have sincere doubts about the fact that some 15-year-old kid went out and bought a fridge. Teenagers don't buy responsible things. They blow their money on stupid shit. Shenanigans.
Ahh, okay, thanks!zfactor said:The switch is probably broken. There is a small, spring loaded switch on the side or bottom of the door or fridge itself. If manually pressing it does not turn the light off, you need to get a new switch (or take the fridge in to wherever you bought it, since it is new and the warrentee should still be good).
And how can you tell the light stays on inside?
