It's a pretty picture, with fairly realistic-ish body proportions. The artist doesn't seem to know much about practical sword use, but that's not particularly unusual.

hmmm i feel a mite bit foolish now, i was certain i was about to uncover an awesome new anime to get lost in.

are we sure its Saber? or is that how she appears in Fate Stay Night? as i have not seen that.

i think im up too episode 10 of 'Zero, its a funny coincidence ive been watching it all week.

good to know there is more to come, as its really picking up.

are you aware of anything similar? i think 'Zero has some of the best animation ive seen...it just LOOKS really good. blows the hell out of Deadman Wonderland (the anime i was previously watching)

Yeah, that's her hairstyle and her wardrobe (minus the sword, which looks like it's from the last route of the Fate/stay night visual novel).

Kara no Kyoukai should be good then, same animation studio (ufotable), same universe (...kind of. Basically the same base rules of magic apply) It expands on the whole Origin aspect that's lightly touched on in Fate/zero, so there's that.

I wouldn't use Deadman Wonderland [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGYD0VaMRw8&feature=player_embedded] as any sort of reference, though.

To be fair, the Fate/stay night anime doesn't see great character development either (I'm saying "either" because I assume you clicked the link), but this is due to how the original game was structured. His character development took place over all the routes, from his childish idea of being a Champion of Justice in the first route (the route that became the main anime, mind you) to finally coming to terms with reality in the last route. If you do choose to watch Fate/stay night, it won't be as rewarding as watching Fate/zero is what I'm saying, and it's more worth it to actually play the game as long as it may be.

Also: Fate/zero's Saber [http://animepicks.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Fate-Zero-Mofumofu-Throw-Saber.jpg] vs Fate/stay night's Saber [http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs13/f/2007/025/7/2/Fate_Stay_Night___Saber_by_kurot.png] (you should've seen both designs already from Fate/zero just saying)

Left handed swordsman/women, are the bane of my existence. it just looks WRONG.

lets never forget, Hitler was a leftie :)
Er.. do you have any proof of that? Or did you just think back to some list of famous lefties to try to remember some evil ones, and the name Hitler came up on the Evil list, and you just put 1 and 1 together to make 3? I suggest you actually research these things before taking a stab in the dark like that.

I think it's more of an issue of how you'd fight holding it like that rather than just being left handed. It's like that time Erza in Fairy Tail was fighting with her swords by holding them with her toes.
Now that you guys have mentioned it, I do raelize she's holding it left handed XD But yeah Ulq, holding it like that is what I meant. The left part in my post meant the one on the left.
