I want hater haters to shut up about haters.

I mean, why hate on about haters hating things? I hate haters who hate haters hating on a thing.

i dont hate it just because its popular but the main reason for hating it is i cannot see how people find it fun.

that and my first time playing black ops was against a pal of mine who allways bragged about how he could "pwn anything at black ops" and from what i had seen from him against other friends he was pretty good....

i had 37 kills and 5 deaths in one round against him with a shotgun and ballistic knife both weapons i chose specifically because i liked the look of them.

I'll stop hating on CoD when they stop making them. I think that is a fair compromise.

I'm tired of going online to read or watch a review, and I get a bunch of douche bags leaving comments about how much Call of Duty sucks, or any game is better than Call of Duty. This is a pretty human response to hate something because its popular to do so. Also I see this behavior in sports quiet often. For example the past two times I have bothered to see soccer, both times it was Germany vs England and the game was in England and yet both times when England lost, they brought up WW2. Sorry I'm going off now. My point is that acting like a child towards something you don't like is quite normal and not at all unique to people who hate COD.
Sadly that lack of willingness to stop rubbing WW2 in their faces doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. I even saw a t-shirt in a high street shop a few months back that said "two world wars and one world cup".

England, we don't win often but we can't shut up about it when we do.

People who say that they hate COD are like the hipsters of the internet. They take something that is clearly good, and very popular, and say that they don't like it just because they don't want to be seen as following the crowd. Of course, some people will like other games better, and there may be some elements of the game that they don't like, but all these people plastering their opinion about how COD is the most horrible series of games to ever hit the market, are only doing so because they want to feel superior to everyone else. Sure, maybe Battlefield is better, but that doesn't justify saying COD is crap.

Oh boy, someone that's intolerant of people's opinions! I'm sorry, if there's one policeman I dislike, it's the Thought Police.

The easiest way to get haters to not shut up about CoD is to form a thread entitled 'Can Haters shut up about CoD.'

Can't tell if trolling or serious.

I just hit level 42 and am enjoying the multiplayer a lot! The only game I play all year is CoD and even I am willing to admit that the reviews are ridiculous and the game overall deserves a mediocre score at best. I haven't tried SP yet, I read the plot on wikipedia so I don't have to play it. The game is literally just MW2, which is why I think there are a lot of haters. I liked MW2 so I don't mind, and besides all the people who hate CoD are noobs anyway and are probably the people I have been killing for the last day straight :p

Ugh, can people just stop talking about Call of Duty? It's a competent shooter with a Hollywood storyline. That's all.

Making threads like this will merely continue the circle of "hate." I'm going to assume you had good intentions, so I'm not trying to "flame" or lecture you, but give you something to think of next time.
So can we please shut up about cod and start making positive threads about good games.
He's basically laid out my thoughts on this subject fairly neatly right here. I would say one thing though; the unreasoned hatred of a game does not mean any criticism of it is just the product of "haters". It's almost become a Belieber style argument ever since the usual suspects noticed that the game isn't exactly loved anymore.

I loathed the reviews, though. They hardly talk about anything that matters. Didn't bother to sign up and post hate.

I'm American, but because my ethnicity is German and they are the group that I root for in soccer, I does piss me off a little that people bring up the past. Honestly even here in America (where I was born and raised) I get called a Nazi if I root for Germany in FIFA. Honestly people enough with the WW2 references. -_-

I don't usually dish CoD, but since you practically begged.

I don't really like CoD, in my opinion they are all the same and not very interesting, (just my impressions really since I have never played one or anything similar). Also I think CoD as an ip is bad for the gaming industry as a whole.

I mean why make good interesting games like Dragon age: Origins or Fallout: New Vegas when you can make game with 5 hours of gameplay, that's wholly about shooting people over and over and over again.

Sorry about the rant, but come on this is internet, people are still allowed to dislike stuff here.

Sadly in our culture many of the people who have a passionate dedication to football are the people who have a passionate dedication to not thinking much and drinking a lot. We call them hooligans (note I said many, not all or even most)

I don't play call of duty. I don't like shooters in general, I prefer platformers and simulations.

That sayd... how in the history of ever can anyone hate call of duty? It's a well made series of games. Also it is videogames. With the exception of the likes of Rapeplay, why would anyone hate ... a videogame?

Yes, the game doesn't change much from installment to installment, some strawman might tell me, waving his little finger of shame, but I tell him that it doesn't matter. It's not important. People keep buying "the same" game over and over because they realy like it.

So... have fun with your videogames!

can everybastard shut up about it!
today in school, my friend counted how many times people brought it up in conversation.
29 times. in 4 hours.
it's been out for less than a bloody day.
