You know how it is. You make a witty post, and, quietly proud of yourself, you sit back and wait to see who notices. A while passes, a few pages of thread go by.

But then you're notified, someone just quoted your post.

Now for discussion value: I don't know about you guys, but for some reason I get giddily excited when someone quotes one of my posts. How do you guys feel about it when it happens to you? How often does it happen to you?

Happens sometimes. Usually it's my friends the quote me and we talk random things. I'm looking at you Gigaguy64

I felt like that when I first joined, but the feeling's kind of shrunk since then.

It's still nice when I log on in the morning and I see one new quote in my inbox, though.

I just take it as a compliment, that my posts were interesting enough for someone to comment on.
Really, this is the best way to sum it up for me.

I do love it when people praise me for being funny.

It's not easy you know! It takes a lot of butter, and a bit of inspirational sausage.

That's right, buttery sausages = Comedy!

I like the fuzzy feeling I get when I've been quoted.
That then vanishes slightly when I see the word 'This' although it has happened in a while.
And my last quote was about 2 days ago from outside Forum Games was about 2 days ago.

But yeah, it's a nice feeling and even if someone quotes me to disagree with whatever I said, it's still a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling. And I think it happens at least once a day.

That's a nice way to put it. Also, is it some sort of irony that everyone is quoting this post because it is interesting enough - you get the idea :p

Actually, I do the same thing.

I like the feeling to know that you have been noticed or that you stand out, hopefully for the right reasons, with your post. It usually happens when I post a good you tube vid that relates to the topic or when I say something witty but they rarely happen because I take too long to think my posts through. By the time I'm finished with it, it's likely to far down to be quoted so getting quoted feels good.

I love being quoted so much. It keeps me alive.

Literally. I absorb energy from my inbox.

I don't make witty or interesting posts. But I'm still happy when I'm quoted (Unless it's a flame)

Yes I like that felling of being quoted, makes me fell more significant.

But I do hate it when I'm quoted like a day after. I fell its already too late to respond back.

but how do you deal with the quantum void after that much awesome has vanished into your gaping eat-hole?

I tried to be funny your way, and killed a cat. It was innocentr and fluffy *sob*.
