I like the fuzzy feeling I get when I've been quoted.
That then vanishes slightly when I see the word 'This' although it has happened in a while.
And my last quote was about 2 days ago from outside Forum Games was about 2 days ago.

But yeah, it's a nice feeling and even if someone quotes me to disagree with whatever I said, it's still a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling. And I think it happens at least once a day.

Congratulations, you have just gotten a new notification to tell you that someone is being a Grammar Nazi about your post. Wait, does that mean I just gave you a warm, fuzzy feeling? Erm... eww.

I was distracted by things when I typed that. Try gaming, listening to music and posting here at the same time. It ain't easy.

I just take it as a compliment, that my posts were interesting enough for someone to comment on.

Really, this is the best way to sum it up for me.

It all goes back to my days as a young scamp posting on forums for poops and giggles.
I would try and sound witty and intelligent, but nothing ever came of it. In the end, I decided I would seek out help with my predicament.

I travelled long and fought many dangers on my way to see the great forum master, the Administrator........

He spoke to me, his eyes betraying the true depth of his wisdom and he said 'Do not try young one... you are already great...'

These words have resonated in me to this day. And my efforts were not in vain, for the more I was simply myself, the more respect I had gained from others...

i dont post very often so i can understand why i rarely get quoted.. but i do enjoy the fact that someone is acknowledging my awesomeness now and then

Because having your post quoted is the only way you can really be sure anyone actually paid any attention to your post, I consider getting quoted a reliable indicator that I actually had something unique or interesting to say.

Unless, of course, they're just quoting me to call me an artless buttcock or remind me that, yes, my post containing my thoughts in my words is 'just my opinion.,' the long-form, pretentious version of NO U.

I do enjoy being quoted, though, and I usually take time to respond to any comments I get, unless it's just a 'QFT.' And sometimes even then, if I had anything extra to add.

OT: I like the red "x new message(s)" text. And I especially like the feature per se, I don't know any other forum that notifies you when you are quoted. Because I often forget about things I say and then I can't even defend them because I don't know someone attacked me!
