are you mad? it'd be a much better strategy if he strung it out to leave himself open to a combo breaker!, its the way of the land.

I like the fuzzy feeling I get when I've been quoted.
That then vanishes slightly when I see the word 'This' although it has happened in a while.
And my last quote was about 2 days ago from outside Forum Games was about 2 days ago.

But yeah, it's a nice feeling and even if someone quotes me to disagree with whatever I said, it's still a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling. And I think it happens at least once a day.
Congratulations, you have just gotten a new notification to tell you that someone is being a Grammar Nazi about your post. Wait, does that mean I just gave you a warm, fuzzy feeling? Erm... eww.
Eh, kinda.
I was distracted by things when I typed that. Try gaming, listening to music and posting here at the same time. It ain't easy.

But yeah, I got a warm fuzzy feeling.
And I love it!

I think I should probably leave this thread now before my warm, fuzzy feeling spreads over the Forum like Hub's buttered sausages.

Oh, if i had been thinking,i coulda seen that was ur plan, but i went for simple, not thinking about the coolness of a C-C-C-COMBOBREAKER.

Because someone had to say it XD

I just take it as a compliment, that my posts were interesting enough for someone to comment on.
Really, this is the best way to sum it up for me.
Me, too.

It all goes back to my days as a young scamp posting on forums for poops and giggles.
I would try and sound witty and intelligent, but nothing ever came of it. In the end, I decided I would seek out help with my predicament.

I travelled long and fought many dangers on my way to see the great forum master, the Administrator........

He spoke to me, his eyes betraying the true depth of his wisdom and he said 'Do not try young one... you are already great...'

These words have resonated in me to this day. And my efforts were not in vain, for the more I was simply myself, the more respect I had gained from others...

...I was actually just agreeing with the last guy but I didn't want to waste the post.
Me too!
I love being quoted :)

I enjoy getting quoted, although I do worry about the contents of the quote at times.

It happens every now and again, but not that often these days.

You know how it is. You make a witty post, and, quietly proud of yourself, you sit back and wait to see who notices. A while passes, a few pages of thread go by.

But then you're notified, someone just quoted your post.

Now for discussion value: I don't know about you guys, but for some reason I get giddily excited when someone quotes one of my posts. How do you guys feel about it when it happens to you? How often does it happen to you?
*just gave you a thrill*
i dont post very often so i can understand why i rarely get quoted.. but i do enjoy the fact that someone is acknowledging my awesomeness now and then

Because having your post quoted is the only way you can really be sure anyone actually paid any attention to your post, I consider getting quoted a reliable indicator that I actually had something unique or interesting to say.

Unless, of course, they're just quoting me to call me an artless buttcock or remind me that, yes, my post containing my thoughts in my words is 'just my opinion.,' the long-form, pretentious version of NO U.

I do enjoy being quoted, though, and I usually take time to respond to any comments I get, unless it's just a 'QFT.' And sometimes even then, if I had anything extra to add.

I lurv it. I like the little (1) in the corner, and I love that someone thought I was hilarious[sup]1[/sup] enough to stop watching porn or whatever and quote me.

I probably have 2 out of every 10 posts quoted. Which isn't bad.

And I too get giddily excited when I receive a notification about a quote... Makes me happy, I say!

I get nervous, especially when I just posted something negative.
It's always nice when someone quotes me with something funny or positive though.

Whenever I refresh the page to see You have no new messages, I add another cut to the wrist tally.

Naaaaah.

I get the same feeling, especially if I mention the console version of Team Fortess 2. I've been... pounced before for mentioning it.

[sub]I swear I'll have to go to rehab for bringing the console version of TF2 into conversation[/sub]

there's so many reasons for a quoted post I don't get excited nor am I bothered about it.

It just exists.

I alwyas have the forboding that perhaps its' a ban notice.

Weeee!

OT: I like the red "x new message(s)" text. And I especially like the feature per se, I don't know any other forum that notifies you when you are quoted. Because I often forget about things I say and then I can't even defend them because I don't know someone attacked me!

Why do I see this whole topic excess into a quote-war? Don't you dare, I'll call every single one of your mommies and tell them what "u did thar"!

For me it's normally a feeling of dread. Probably because most of my posts disagree with someone.

I like it. I quote others when I can so they can (hopefully) get the same feelings. :)
