It will probably run, but it may be a bit problematic. You have a workstation GPU, workstation cards have drivers optimized more for OpenGL and productivity tasks, game support and Direct3D support isn't very good on workstation GPU drivers, you may not get the most stable experience.

I was also just looking this up and found that system requirements lab failed my laptop as well on video card. Wondered if any of you guys could help me out and let me know if it's worth getting the game or if it will be unplayable.

System specs are:
Windows 7
INTEL i5 2410 M @ 2.30 GHz
6 Gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 540M; which system requirements lab found had: pixel shader: 5.0, vertex shader: 5.0, 1 Gb video memory

Everything seems to be equal or above what the min/recommended specs are asking for so I was hoping it might be ok, don't know if there are big differences in other areas of the mobile chipset though.

Unfortunately, Dishonored doesn't give really good minimum requirements, pretty much telling you to have the recommended stuff. The minimum will probably be something like an 8800GT, which is more powerful than a 540m. The 540m is an entry level laptop gaming card, it might run the game okay at lower settings. All I can say is wait for the game to come out and hope there is a demo to try, or hope someone benchmarks the game on various laptops so you can get an idea about how it will perform.

Hi just to follow up this post. I got Dishonored today and installed it. Works really well on my computer at 720p. Only done the first mission so far and am half way through the second. So far no problems.

Thanks to Supernova1138 and Living_Brain for the help with this problem.

Edit: Completed the game no problems from start to finish.
