I'm not even going to pretend, I am NOT a very technologically intelligent guy, at least not when it comes to computer specs. I was hoping that somebody on here could tell me if this system is good enough to even run the 2007 Shadow of Chernobyl. I can run TF2 and HL2 on max graphics with virtually no framerate issues, even G-Mod, but I understand that they are totally different games with different things going on and don't want to stake my $20 purchase on "Well, these games run okay." I did that before. Did not turn out well. Good thing the game was super cheap.

My system Specs and Steam's system requirements:

I'm sure it's "so obvious," and I "must be retarded if I can't tell," or whatever some may say, but all I'm looking for is a simple answer.

Captcha: go berserk

Even the captcha is against me.

From your post, I could not make up what your videocard is. The game is very demanding for your GPU, so knowing that could help a lot. Your RAM is fine, but I dontk now for certain about the processor (never used AMD)

I would also advice you to wait a litle longer if you can, since the game is on Steam and the Steam summersale might be any moment :p

We need to know your graphics card to tell, your CPU and RAM seem passable. Press the windows key, type in dxdiag, hit return, goto the Display tab and tell us your graphics card details.

Well I recently got Amnesia and it plays fine, the only thing I ever had framerate issues with was Metro2033, and buy issues I mean it was virtually unplayable because of all the lag.

I believe my system came with the graphics card built in, let me see if I can find it...

Here, I believe this is the graphics/video card, it's built into the model: ATI Radeon HD 4350

Here's the model info if you need it: http://www.800hightech.com/computer-pc-financing/hp-pavilion-slimline-5360-desktop-pc-916.html

I have my fingers crossed.

According to the Tom's hardware gpu hierarchy yours is well below the minimum spec you listed above so it may be a step too far. Stalker is a demanding game with it being open world.

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com will tell you if you can run it or not. Yes, you have to install something, no, it's not malware/a virus/spyware/etc. I use this a lot, as do many other people. It's only a guideline though, as it says that I can't run some games due to my GPU not being good enough, but usually I can run them fine :)

Other than my OS being Windows 7 and it being unsure if it can run it on 7, everything else says its a Pass.

Thanks, guys, this was great help.
