WTF, you have to install games on the PC, have certain hardware to run it, like a certain amount of RAM and memory and whatever, you always have to keep your PC up to date. It's just way too damn difficult. HOWEVER, on a console, see a game you want to buy, is it on your specific console? Yes? Than buy it. That simple.
No. Consoles require installs on larger games too now. And PC's initial install isn't exactly rocket science.
But that is beside the point, a PC
runs the game better. Not easier for the user, but runs it better. It has more processing power, and is able to run the game at a higher fps with better resolution and graphics. That is what I was saying.
My entire point is that PC's run games better with more cash invested, you seem to have ignored that entirely, difficulty in getting games to run is entirely another matter.
No, consoles are designed for gaming, while the PC or the wretched mac arent
Not True, YOU design your PC, and hence you decide if it is a gaming PC or not. A PC being able to do multiple things doesn't mean it "wasn't designed for gaming".
Go tell alienware their PC's aren't made for gaming.
A console is only a streamlined, optimized PC custom built to run at the same standard and able to be mass produced.
Consoles do gaming much better than the PC will ever, even if you play Crysis with an xbox controller on your PC, its still better on the xbox
Why. Because the xbox runs things worse than a PC?
A mouse and keyboard is a superior control interface than an xbox controller, say what you want, but a mouse is a ton more accurate than any xbox controller.
If you want to handicap yourself because you consider the game better that way, then get an xbox controller, for your PC. (some games do have a better feel with a console controller).
So basically, what is different about a console - ease of installation/setup, different controller (which PC can emulate) exclusives, price and multiplayer capability. Ease of initial installation can swing both ways, because I don't care if it takes me 20 minutes to install a game, I can wait a one time load screen for the installation. Different controller, the PC can emulate an xbox controller. Exclusives are a marketing tool, and in the end, I'd say price, ease of use and multiplayer capability are the only viable points
