Can some one help me out?

I just installed Left 4 Dead 2 but a lot of the walls and objects are purple and black checkered.
How do I fix this?

The purple and black walls measn you are missing textures, post up your Comps rig info here, and I'll check if you have enough Ram for it.

Did you pirate the game, because if so then the torrent coulda been bugged, if so say so as I may be able to help.

Not that its the same thing, but my iphone does that sometimes. Could be the procesor is not fast enough? Do the walls become normal after awhile?

What are your PC's stats?

Whenever I play Portal or Halflife 2 or something along that line on my PC I find that my specs can't hack it completely and the seizure up certain wall and water textures. Best thing to do would be to end all programmes you are using before playing so that it's reduced to a minimum.

Also keep in mind that most games ask for 2gigs of ram nowadays, but even that is cutting it real close. That's what I have, but I have a decent vid card to pick up the slack.

Source engine couldn't find a texture; you should uninstall it then reinstall it.

That's missing textures, try right-clicking, selecting "Delete local content" and re-install it.
