I was hoping you knowledgeable folk might be able to help me with my EA account. Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else.
I'm having multiple problems creating an EA account through their website. It started with trying to join the veteran programme with EA, cause I've played Bad Company 1 before. Problem is, I couldn't remember my EA account details. So I got a password reminder sent, and found out that I have one of the "old-style" accounts, which uses a screen name. I was told to migrate it into a new e-mail based account, followed the instructions, it took me to the account creation page. I entered my details, pressed I accept to the user agreement and...nothing happens! The page reloads, no error message or anything, but with everything as I entered it.
I chatted with an EA "support" agent last night, he told me to try to empty my cache and to use Internet Explorer (I'm using Firefox). Both of these did nothing. He said then said to try a different email address, so I entered my hotmail one. At which point it said this address is already in use. I asked them to send a password reminder to that one- and received nothing.
So I need to know two things:
Why can I not create a new account?
and
Is there anyway to find out what account details I've been using when logging onto Bad Company 2? (it seems to do it automatically)
I have emailed EA about this as well, but while waiting for a response I thought you guys might be able to help me here as well.
