-Salmon a la krout - Something like that
-Cod with chips is a common one.
-Raw herring.
-Carp, if you can get it. Cark with salad cream.
-Shark isn't too nice.
- Salmon is usually a winner in fish recipes and cod is the most common around my area of the united kingdom. Giving up meat for fish can be hard, but i seriously prefer fish.

Rice goes well with most fish, and of course. Never forget Sushi, i love sushi personally, but if you do like it, it can be very expensive.

Salads with fish do well, but are not very appitising.

A lemon slice will help the taste.

Thousand Island dressing is good, quite sweet and not for the fish with sharp flavour.

Fish can be soft and flakey, and may generally just fall apart under too much dressings, don't add salk to fish, it'll taste fine with just lemon. If you don't like lemon, use Orange Zest, or lime.

If you're extending from fish to sealife, Crab, Lobster and Prawn are great things to get your hands on, though prawns may have high colesterol.

How the fish is cooked will effect it's taste, so careful with that.

If all fishie things fail. then go on a veggie, or that fake meat stuff.

If i helped in anyway, i'm glad i did.

Hah! I misread the opening statement, thinking it said you were going to eat all the meat you can find except fish. I was really impressed :(

Anyways, I'm a strict carnivore so I can't share any real unique experience but meat dishes (substituted with Quorn) are the bomb, I've heard.

Incidently, Quorn Lasange is amazing.

Take my advice: Tilapia is your friend.

It goes good with most any side dish,it cooks easily enough, and frozen Tilapia fillets tend to be sold pretty cheap (depending where you are, of course).

My suggestion would be salmon with wild rice and asparagus. Tastes pretty damn good, and it's not overly difficult to cook.

What the hell is quorn? Something like Not-Bacon?

To the OP: Head to your local bookstore, and buy a seafood cookbook. You'll find pages and pages of great recipes in there, all about fish and other forms of seafood.

Google/Wikipedia is your friend.
It is a synthetic 'meat' made out of mycoprotein or otherwise fungus if you want to be generic. As disgusting as it may sound calling it 'fungus', it is actually quite nice.

OT: I believe using Quorn is cheating, but that's my opinion. I would advise to get some lentils and random vegetables. Throw in some sauces and you're set. Otherwise pasta goes with pretty much everything.

If all else fails set a pot to boil about 3-4 potatoes and chuck in loads of random vegetables et al to taste. Allow it to boil for about 20-30 minutes, drain and mash up. Then serve the mash potato/vegetable mixture.

so eat at a japanese restaurant every night? I only really eat tuna, swordfish and crab... actually crab is really easy to make, and swordfish cooks like steak (and tastes like fishy chicken)

Gefilte fish. Wikipedia it. Great stuff. I love it.

Also look up Alton Brown's fish recipes. That man is a genius.

* Pizza with any of the following: capsicum (that's peppers to you non-Australians), mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, pineapple, tomatoes, onion, potato... whatever else is in the fridge.

* Stir-fry hokkien noodles or rice with carrot, broccoli, mushrooms, other fresh veg.

* Pasta with pesto and nuts or with tomato-base sauce and capsicum, mushrooms, cheese, lentils.

Lentils are your friends. You can make a lot of recipes by replacing mincemeat with lentils: lasagne, curry, pasta etc.

P.S. I'm not officially a vegetarian but I live with one. A meat-free diet is piss easy and totally satisfying.
