Can we all just shut the f*** up about Skyrim, please?

First off I don't hate Skryim, second I don't click on the MLP threads. However when they keep on appearing on the right hand side, it gets annoying. This is a VIDEO GAME site, not a MLP fan site. I like the Law and Order series, but I don't make thread after thread about it, especially not on a site where it doesn't have anything to do with video games.

Maybe if the off-topic threads didn't appear on the hot threads list it would make things better, because if it's MLP it's going to be popular here. That's the way it is with over 1100 members in the fan group.

I don't mind them though.

OT: Gaming site + Popular game = Threads. Deal with it.

If your a fan, fine. I'm done laugh at people for liking it. That got boring long ago. But some fans need to stfu about trying to get other to like it. Honestly I don't want to watch some show about toys little girls play with, now stop ask about "Why the hate for MLP?". (I don't me YOU specifically just some MLP fans.)

I think when a game is as fun and popular as Skyrim, it deserves numerous threads.
And personally, I enjoy reading them.

Speaking of Skyrim, I just went through Frostflow Lighthouse and...just wow. Some fantastic environmental storytelling. It's probably my favorite part of the game so far.

Dude. People will stop posting threads about Skyrim when the excitement has worn down. You have no obligation to look at them, you have no obligation to read or post in them. They are not invading your life, they're simply sitting in the Recent Posts box and the gaming forum, doing no harm to you. Let people be excited about things. It will die down later.

In the meantime, can someone please explain to me what the crap is so offensive about seeing something in the forums a lot? As long as it's not patently offensive, what's the problem with it? I don't care if you don't like Skyrim, or ponies, or whatever else is popular in the forums at the time; seeing a particular word in the forums a lot is no inconvenience to anyone. Stop whining.

The lab boys just informed me that I should not have mentioned Skyrim, they're telling me I ought to stop making these Skyrim threads - that gave me an idea: make more Skyrim threads! I help bring in some delicious ad revenue here, I can talk about Skyrim all damn day!

OP: Seriously, though, people enjoy talking about games they enjoy playing. Skyrim is a good game, one that was hyped to the goddamn moon (and for good reason). It'll die down when it does.
