I'm one of those who's unapologetically honest. In fact, I refuse to even refer to them as 'guilty pleasures' because makes it sound like I should feel bad about liking it, and... yeah, no.

This is one of those things I could go on about for hours, and have done several times, but long story short: I'm secure enough in my personality that I don't care a hoot whether it's cool or horribly uncool to like something.

The three stooges. I know it's old and kinda dumb, but I just love that stuff.

The Dead or Alive movie. At least the first two acts, when it's a bunch of cute girls and well-shot fight scenes, and it's clear everyone involved is just having fun with it. It kind of loses me at the end when the dumbass plot from the video game finally shows up.

Jesus Christ Superstar. Especially the Norman Jewison film version, but I love the soundtrack and like the newer film version too. I don't really care for musicals generally (Les Miserables is the only other one I really like) but JCS has become my Easter ritual.

I still have an active fantasy life (which helps when it comes to writing), and some of my favorite movies are violently hated by other people, like "Hawk the Slayer", "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and "Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God". I also like "Scourge of Worlds" the CGI- Animated D&D Feature. And I love to read. A lot.
I was willing to forgive Wrath of the Dragon God for most of its shortcomings, because despite them it managed to be a hundred times better than the first one.

My guilty pleasure? Steven Segal movies.

I bought one and haven't watched it. But if Steven does his Aikido moves in the movie, I have to see it.

Also: "You see this face?" |-( "This is my happy face."

The only thing that comes to mind in terms of guilty pleasures is the first Iron Man game. As bat-shit crazy-annoying as those missiles were (you know, the ones that require you to catch them), I still had fun with that game. It took me a long time to realize that it was a flight sim in disguise.

Glen Beck and Sarah Palin. I love to watch them make fools of themselves, it's like watching a nuke in slow mo, and I just can't get enough of it.

I dunno if I have guilty pleasures. Probably according to other people's tastes, but personally, I like what I like. It's what makes my MP3 playlist a minefield; one minute AC/DC, the next Lady Gaga or Aqua. I've got Order Up! on my game shelf next to Grand Theft Auto 4. I just like things that I enjoy, and I don't really get people snickering or condemning something just because it doesn't match their own tastes.

Mine tend to be very bad/cheesy tv shows and some trashy "love" reality tv shows. I hate them yet sometimes there's nothing I want more then just seat and watch all episodes one after the other... It's so brainless to me that it relaxes me completely.

Did... did she just diss Legally Blonde: The Musical? Without having seen the entire thing? Because I have seen it, and I will recommend it to anyone who isn't immediately turned off by the fact that it's a musical. The movie was actually pretty good, and the musical is better, not worse. I'm not sure how that happened, but I'm not one to complain about a good thing -- there really isn't anything guilty about this pleasure. If anyone's interested, the whole thing was up on youtube the last time I checked.

It's cool, I'm particularly fond of "Is He Gay Or European".
Is it sad that this was the first song that popped into my head, too?

The song is great, but it's got the one negative change from the movie: the boyfriend calls him a bastard instead of a *****. That was one of the best lines in the movie, and it loses a lot of punch by changing the word.

There's quite a few anime series I could go into, like having the DBZ VHS tapes still (yeah, even the boxset that lines up their faces) or my ridiculous love for Yu Yu Hakusho to the point of having a display case full of figures from that series alone, but I'll dig deeper, since calling it a "guilty pleasure" means that there's some shame involved and these two things... well... o.k. moving on.

Reality T.V. shows. And I'm not talking like "Survivor" or things like that, I'm talking like, "America's Next Top Model," and, "Hell's Kitchen," and those first couple of weeks of "American Idol," where they show the people who are just awful. Yeah, I'm always in front of the T.V. when Ramsey is swearing over things being raw, or when Tyra is making girls pose in nothing but... hair... and... yeah, I'm done now. I have clearly embarrassed myself enough.

I'm a sucker for feel-good drama films - not necessarily romances though. For example: I adore Calender Girls. There's something about pretty scenery and happily gossiping middle-aged ladies that makes me go all fuzzy. Well what do you know? I really am a girl!

And on top of that, Digimon. The voice acting is beyond crap, but I adored it as a child and dammit I adore it now! I'll listen to the theme tune until I can sing it backwards.

Oh My God? It's all about Whipped Into Shape!

I don't see my love for musicals as a guilty pleasure, per se. From Fiddler on the Roof to Company, La Cage au Falls to Cabaret, musicals have always been a magical realm for human expression for me.

However, you do get those flighty shows like Legally Blonde and Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark that need to go somewhere and die a painful death.

I feel more confidant and proud of my guilty pleasure now that someone has thrown out Klingon sex. I mean, I can't think of anything worse than that (and yes, I am including the "Reunion" ep with Worf and K'Ehleyr). *Shudders*

My guilty pleasure? The Real Housewives of New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and Beverly Hills. Orange County and D.C. were too boring for me. *Yawn*
