Edit: I'm rather middle-of-the-road when it comes to immigration issues, but why the FUCK are we asking people to know a bunch of history stuff about our country in order to get in? None of this, in no way, protects the current citizens or helps the immigrants participate in society better. They may as well as just put a "you must be this tall to enter" sign at the boarder for all the good it will do everyone.
I really find awkward this kind of questionnaires to be a citizen of a country.

Hell, I am not a Historian, I am a normal citizen.

If you are a historian or an international relations graduated, you can be a American citizen,
but if you are not, too bad, you are not worthy enough. lol.

I am thinking about it, if you make such a test to stay as a citizen in my country, %85 of us will be throwned out from citizenship :p

88% (44 out of 50).

60% to pass, so that's okay for a guy who's never been to the country I suppose.

43 out of 50, which to be honest is WAY better than I thought I'd get. I always thought the Citizenship test would be stupidly hard and I've been out of school for a decade.

Ironically i passed the American test and not the UK one, despite being a UK citizen and not an American one.

Hrm. Failed the UK Citizenship test, but apparently Connecticut would be quite happy to have me. Plus, I've got the stereotypical British accent, moving over there would be win win ;)

39 out of 50, or 78%

I'm Canadian and I don't really pay much attention to American geography and politics, which is pretty much the only stuff I got wrong.

I'm Australian,and I got 9/10 questions right in the first run.Yay me!
Alas, not so well the second time when I did 50 questions.I got 36 right, which would still count as a pass.Considering I've never been to the US and I randomly picked Colorado for my state questions,(I've always wanted to go there)that's not too bad.I got stuck on the questions on which wars occurred in the 1800s and some of the questions about past Presidents.Oh well,I'm guessing not too many Americans could name the Governor-General.;-)

Still, could be worse. You think THAT's bad? Ever heard about The White Australia Policy in the 1950s that resulted in a 'dictation test' for prospective migrants that could be given in any European language, including Irish Gaelic? Read the bit about the Immigration Restriction Act of 1901.Now THAT'S f**ked up.And we wondered why the UK thought us colonial buffoons.Sheesh.

Took the test for New York, nice to know all that taxpayer money isn't going to waste on my education.
