Command&Conquer is good/brilliant, winding down to OK for Red Alert 3

Tiberium Twilight is not a C&C game nor is it good as a game on its own.
I know nothing of the quality of Gen 2 as a game though from what I have heard, I can not say if it is a C&C title in anything other than name.

When it comes to RTS, I can't help ya', however, when it comes to turn based, I'll gladly recommend the Fire Emblem series (Path of Radiance easily being one of the best games I've ever played) and Heroes of Might and Magic (Here I mostly recommend the 3rd one.).

Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Advance Wars.

Then Blood Bowl, Valkyria Chronicles and Armored Princess.

Should do for a while.

Turn based conquering some galaxy and shit, Endless Space is pretty good. Well I say pretty good, I don't even play strategy games except for the 30 hours Endless Space I seem to rack up per week on average. Wicked fun, especially when some fucker decides you're being rude so you have to put them into place. With your new railguns.

No love for the Front Mission series? I r sadz.
I thought it never got released stateside.
Quite a few unfortunately, but they released the Front Mission 1(even comes with new missions!) on the DS and Front Mission 3&4 on the PS 1. All pretty good games. It's tragedy that Front Mission 5 was never released in the US and yet... Evolved crawled out of the mutant sludge from the Square/Enix factory into the world...

Oh man if you had a sega saturn, I would give a quest to find Iron Storm... Oh my geez best strategy game evar! Well... or you can play Panzer Corps for the PC. That works too.

I cherish and own most of the series. You could easily find roms of them all and the emulator if you wanted to play them.

If you can get hold of a PS1 or an emulator, you should give Vandal Hearts a try. Where this game really shines is in its level design, each map being very unique and presenting it's own challenge. One level my have you advancing across a bridge that's collapsing behind you as turns pass, while the next might have you fighting to reach switches on a time limit (like bomb disposal) or the game could simply set the challenge of surviving a set amount of turns against overwhelming odds. No two levels are the same, with the execption of the very first few tutorial missions. It's an underrated classic in my eyes.
