I never read the number on the bill, I just recognize them by color. Also I think very few countries actually have monochrome money (Except for the US, and that's probably where all of this is coming from)


Honestly I'm very much surprised that so few countries use them.

Hey, our dollars aren't all monochrome anymore. We've since taken that daring leap to adding some color to our bills.

It doesn't really matter to me if I'm paying in paper or plastic because I use a debit-card on any non small purchase.

EDIT: Honestly that money is pretty cool. I would rather have a bunch of cool coins thought then brightly colored paper or plastic.

way I see it, it makes them harder to tear, less replacements needed as such, harder to counterfeit, I've been working with money for quite some time and I find it enjoyable to find all the little security measures they put on bills from microprint to textured ink bits. lots of little things even the consistency of the cottonpaper of normal bills is different, hell I can tell a real bill from counterfeit without even looking at it most of the time, and when I do look I laugh, I know me my money, you can't slip that shit by me, only ever caught one person with a counterfeit bill, when I suggested that it might not be real dude actually booked it, I always just thought maybe honest shmucks like me(but less careful in currency evaluation) would accidentally try and pay with one, obviously that was a first hand counterfeit bill not an accidental second hander...


Still I think it's cool, make it harder to ruin that shit in the laundry.
