It's awesome up here, but the mortgage on my igloo is starting to weigh on my income. Also feeding my polar bear is pretty expensive. However I have to say, that the worst thing up here is the fact that all of the best ice fishing holes are becoming harder to reach because of global warming.

Seriously though, we have winter 6 months out of the year, it isn't that bad because most of our so called "winter" doesn't even have any snow. If I had one real complaint, it would be ice on the sidewalks and roads, I'm always scared that I'll slip and break my neck, so when the ice goes away I'm always happy.

Also our Maple Syrup is awesome, but nothing compares to whipped cream and fruit on my pancakes.

To my knowledge Canada is a Social Democratic part of the British commonwealth with lax marijuana regulation and have a similar obsession with hockey that we in the U.S. have with hand egg.

As far as I can tell, all the good Canadian bands either were formed in Quebec, or have a front man from Quebec. Also, Canadians seem to be very pleasant people.

Was I at all accurate?
Depends. Is Billy Talent from Quebec?

I LOVE HANDEGG GO COLTS! How very unCanadian of me.
Their frontman was born in Quebec.
He totally does sound French.
I'm not good with accents so I couldn't tell. My friend just told me about it and I looked it up to check. The band was formed in another province though.

They're actually why I put in the frontman from Quebec part hahaha.

As an American, I know that each region of Canada has its own agricultural department or farmers and slaughterhouses, but is still run by a main organization

And the thing where Canadians say 'eh' is not a stereotype and is quite true

There are many assumptions that Americans know nothing about Canada, so I, a Canadian, challenge you Americans to show what you think you know about Canada!
What do you think of the Canadian revolution during the 1830's

You guy's like Hockey, Warm Beer, Syrup, and scamming people out of their Ebay items.

I'm not kidding, this is the actual Canadian stereotype where I live.

All I want to know about Canada is when President Dr. Insano is going to continue his ingenious plan to cut off Canada from the United States and attach it to Australia to serve as it's land-beard. I want my vote to matter, goddammit!

Canada is the world's main source of Maple Syrup and boring people. The people there live in igloos and huts surviving off of narwhal meat and congealed sap.
/sarcasm.

We had the coolest leader ever for a while by the name of Pierre Trudeau. He dated film stars, showed up to parliament in a sports car, and actually did some good for Canada (disregarding the debt he would put us in). Also (and on this one I'm not so certain, learned this in grade 9 so I'm a little hazy) Quebec got screwed in some political thing because there was a change to some bill in the middle of the night and because the Quebec representative was staying in french hotel that was elsewhere, no one bothered to go get him so he could vote (again, I may be wrong on this one).

Didn't you guys/gals have 10% of your military equipment held off your coast by ONE American owned freighter back in 2000?

You're also known for faulty olympic torches and weird fiddle playing, tap dancing lumberjacks...i kid i kid. :p

If this actually happened, they probably just asked nicely.

I live in America, but I'm Canadian, so I know quite a bit actually. Every one there is either really nice or a complete idiot for one thing, although most people tend to go for the "really nice" option. Also, the taxes right now are preposterous.

Mounties! I think of Mounties!
In all seriousness, I visited Canada when I was very young and have great memories (including talking to a Mountie when I thought I'd gotten lost). I'd love to go back someday.

Canadian "Facts" from a biased Yank.
1. Canadians are all born on skates.
2. Sidney Crosby is a witch.
3. Its F'in cold most of the year.
4. Mounties dress funny on TV.
5. Moose are considered a driving hazard.
6. Everyone is polite, even when mocking you.
7. They burned down the White House. (1812)

The tourguides, hotel managers, cashiers are usually more pleasant (my personal experience, anyway) and we are statistically more laid-back and live longer than Americans
That sounds nice, not awesome :) Makes it sound like a friendly 4 star hotel where nothing interesting happens but it's still... nice.

Come on, tell me some awesome things about Canada.
we made terry fox, a person who walked with 1 leg all the way across our country to promote cancer awareness

HAHAHA! wow its so funny to see what people think they know of canada when theres is no difference between america and canada.
They only think things that we may be famous for
health care
maple syrup
only country left with beavers
Eh!
the assumption that we all say the 'eh' accent is a tense offensive since the accent only was what the french and metis would say when they were trying to talk english back in the days of confederation. But Canada was made from settlers all around europe (france, ireland, england) and first nations.Canada itself is many languages from all around the world.

now you know something!

Is it true that you've invented cars that work on maple syrup? On that note, you have electric generators that work on maple syrup too, right?

As for what I know... it's cold.
