Only two shows I watch are Lost and Deadliest Warriors..

The first has run its course, but it's going to get an actual ending next season, which I think every show deserves, even if it only has 3 episodes..

The second is pure candy, once it's gone, I won't give two shits.

I guess King of the Hill can't exist alongside Seth's domination of the animated market. It's a shame really; it's one of the only cartoons out there that doesn't have to have crude humor and innuendo to be funny.
... and on that note I'd actually like to say that I think Family Guy should have stayed canceled. After it was brought back by Fox the show became more vulgar, more racy, and more random. It just isn't funny anymore, or at least it isn't the same "clever" kind of funny it was pre-cancellation.

I gave up on television after Fox cancelled Drive two episodes in. Learning about Futurama just sealed what I've known for some time now; good shows are being cancelled in favor of reality TV and pseudo soap-opera dreck like 90210. I'm not even happy about Family Guy anymore, it's not the show I used to watch. I stick to my DVDs, books, and video games pretty much now.

Off topic: I can understand cancellations, but only if they're at the end of a season/series where all the loose threads have been tied up. Other than that, why not just hold out for a few more episodes?

On topic: I miss Batman:the Animated Series and Batman Beyond.

I think House had a pretty weak season early on in the year, but they finished strong once they started focusing on House and stopped with the supporting character side plots.

What made me angery was how they brought Jerico back for a second season after protests by a bunch of fans rush out a 10-15 episode season that just ruined the entire show. I guess the makers got what they wanted in the end.

What really perplexes me is that some crap shows like CSI and Law & Order get tons of spin-offs and stay on forever. Do that many people really watch that crap, or did they just get a lucky time slot?
Oi. Mock Law and Order all you want (most of the spinoffs do stink, and the newer episodes did too) but CSI? The only season of that you'll get away with mocking on my watch is NY. That one... it's just not interesting.

I have to say I was a fan of Pushing Daisies.

You sir, are the man. For not giving in to the EURGH BAD Batman cartoons of the new age. I mean, really? THE BATMAN had some interesting remakes of characters, but far too many were trippy techicolor nightmares.

Annnnd sorry for the double post.

I just hate how they usually base their ratings on the results of a questionnaire, that they ask to average American families. The audience for alot of these truly great shows like Chuck, Dollhouse and The Sarah Connor Chronicles aren't represented very well in these samples - resulting in "low ratings" being recorded.

It just pisses me off that they fill their slots with unoriginal reality tv crap, when instead we could get some decent programming going.

I know I'm one of the few out there who enjoy it but I believe this is the last season of King of the Hill. And most of the season finales happened Sunday.

All those shows follow the same formula. They tweak the details a bit, but there aren't really any original story ideas in any of them. Entirely too predictable and cliché for me. The worst is CSI Miami with that tool in the sunglasses always acting like everything he says is profound in some way. Give me a break.

Futurama was one of the best cartoon series ever. Leaps and bounds above stuff like Simpsons, Family Guy, and King of the Hill. Only Gargoyles could compare, oh wait lets have a bad third season then cancel it, and then make a new comic series, AND THEN cancel it. You bastards.

And I heard Spectacular Spider-Man isn't going to be picked up for a 3rd season. Why does the universe hate Greg Weisman?

If Batman Brave and the Bold gets cancelled, the murders are going to begin.

Also, incase you hadn't heard, there is a new Stargate series in the works, Stargate Universe, so the lack of stargate won't last long.
Stargate Universe (the synopsis so far) sounds retarded. My friends and I agree that Universe needs to be axed before it starts and Atlantis restarted.

Meh, I'll give it a chance before I naysay it. I have to admit though, the teaser they released for it about a month or so ago didn't leave the best taste in my mouth. I'll give it at least 6 episodes before I make a judgement on it though.

I think The Simpsons should get killed off.

And I love The Unusuals! It was trying something new and it was really good, but they're killing it?

I don't know if it was justified or not, but my first childhood experience with a cliffhanger cancellation was Alf. The Melmacian spaceship was descending, the army was closing in and they promised it was "To be continued..." - it never was.

I never trusted network executives again. :)
