I would probably eat another human being if I was starving, and they were already dead but still fresh.

No, no, you misunderstand.

I'm asking if an excuse is necessary.

there's not that much left.. and what nutritional value can you get out of that.. the alcohol will numb your body and you wont really know if you have frostbite or if your legs falling off. and chocolate is basically pure sugar so you would probably die.

no i wouldn't

i might use their bodies to attempt luring a polar bear.
that i will then kill with something sharp (probably not)
and eat him.

If I needed to, sure. I mean you're all meat, delicious delicious meat :D
In general, eh maybe not. Most human meat isn't too tasty (only the stuff on the arms and legs really is).

Yes, I would like to see what it tastes like before I die. As long as I knew it was as clean as other meat I've eaten.
New experiences are always welcome.

I hate the se questions, you can never truly know the answer until your in that situation. So I have to answer that I don't know, but would like to think that if my survival depended on it I would be able to eat the dead.

As for the book, typical Rugby players. If it was anyone else I'd say it was an amazing feat but for people who wear skimpy Lycra and play a game that even NFL players consider overly brutal, well, it's just a sunday stroll in the mountains...

Actually, those survivors were pretty badass, not to mention lucky.

Depends...how well do I know the people. I don't think I'd eat my best friend, but maybe someone I just met.

interestingly we had a question about that in one of my sacred texts lectures the other week (were exploring the abstract) and i got asked if i was stuck with out food and i found a dead person and adead pig (~supposing i was jewish btw) which would i eat? after assertaining that they were fit to eat and had same amount of flesh on them i told the lecturer that i would eat one and cut up the other for later use. apparently this was a brilliant answer but not the one he had been expecting. so basically yes, if it was the only food i had i would eat another person, does help that i am highly morally flexable though.
