Ivaan spared a quick glance to Reetch, raising an eyebrow in reference to 'Avada's' emotional 180.
"So... Can we leave this cell, then, if you trust us?" Ivaan said, glancing at the still very firmly sealed cell door.

"Name's Avada" the yama said, holding out her hand. Claire took it without hesitation. They all got to go free and if they killed the enemy mage, she'd finally be able to remove a particularly unpleasant thorn in her - and her family's - side. Everyone wins. "Claire Montaigne; I look forward to doing business with you." she said, a smile on her face. Her only regret was that she doubted she'd be there when Treasach finally got what was coming to him.

She could tell the others didn't trust the Yama; she couldn't really blame them. She'd hardly done anything to earn their trust, and everything to lose it. The thing was; trust was now irrelevant. Once they were outside the walls, whether they did anything or not was unrelated to the matter of trust; it was a matter of mutually-beneficial business. They had the ability to get her something that she wanted and vice versa.

Returning attention to Avada, Claire spoke again. "On that note; could we purchase some replacement medical supplies? We used up most of what we had left on the Une infected we brought in with us." she asked. She wasn't sure what the answer would be, but it was better to ask and be told "no" then not ask at all right?

"I'd be happy to go into the town and find a place that sells what we need. I have a little money..." Ivaan trailed off. Right now he just wanted to- "I just want to get to my patients as soon as possible, ma'am."

"Name's Avada"

Bom was pleased by the peaceful resolution, and the fact that neither he nor William had to part with the group. Also, his eyes lit up at the suggestion of shopping. He could finally get a real weapon, and maybe get someone to tailor make a new coat, to replace the one the wounded took.

Then again, he thought about how little money he had, and he didn't want to impose on the others. When would they get paid for these missions? He asked himself.

Actually, that's a legitimate question. Do we get paid for doing all of this, or is the payment in the form of "not being locked up for being freaks"?

'We have not received or been able to gather supplies since abumot attacked, so we are already starting to run low on many supplies. Until abumot is dead we cannot spare you any supplies right now, but like I said we will give you what we can spare once you have killed abumot.' Avada said while gesturing to some guards to come over. She then opened the cell door 'guide them to where they want to go, also have their horses ready at the gate and give them the directions when they leave' avada said to the guards who responded 'yes, ma'am'

The unicorn guided karen and rias through the swamp, the trees they were walking past seemed to have a large chunk torn out of their trunk, but this was at the same height for all of the trees, on the same sight and only on the trees they were walking past.

Ivaan left the cell, asking Reetch if he'd like to follow him, "Shall we?" He said, happy not to be behind bars.
He looked around at the soldiers "Would one of you be kind enough to lead me to the nearest medical facility?"

'I am not the one who came up with the idea to keep one of you here...Also if the loss of a single member would ensure your downfall you guys aren't good enough to make sure that none of you die' Williams expression slightly changed his anger was beginning to show. "Do you have proof Harvey Treasach attempted this deal? If so, you have all you need bring me back. To finally get something on Treasach, I'd come back with the head of goddamn Morgan La Fay if I had to." William looked a bit surprised at Claire, she seemed to know this person.

'Now that is passion that can't be faked, I will give you all the evidence I have in exchange for your word and abumot's head, I will let you do your mission with no further interference' she put out her hand in order to offer a handshake 'names avada' William was glad that Claire had managed to negotiate a deal. He also hoped that he didn't have to shake her hand; he would rather stick it in the mouth of a rabid dog. "So... Can we leave this cell, then, if you trust us?" William wanted to leave the cell to he still had someone to visit and this was taking to long. "Claire Montaigne; I look forward to doing business with you....We used up most of what we had left on the Une infected we brought in with us." William had an idea how he could help Claire with that.

'We have not received or been able to gather supplies since abumot attacked, so we are already starting to run low on many supplies...But like I said we will give you what we can spare once you have killed abumot.' Avada said while gesturing to some guards to come over. She then opened the cell door 'guide them to where they want to go, also have their horses ready at the gate and give them the directions when they leave' Avada said to the guards. William looked at the party. "Would one of you be kind enough to lead me to the nearest medical facility?" Ivaan asked, William smiled "I know a place where we can get cheap supplies." He said as recalled the trader who worked for him here, her name was Allice. William turned around and began heading towards the shop.

He remembered coming to the Yama lands for the first time, he had been heavily under prepared and understaffed. William had started the trip alone, because he had been too stubborn to accept help of anyone. He had lost most of his supplies on the first days because of a strange accident and because of his lack of knowledge he couldn't gather any food here, slowly he became weaker. After walking for 3 days he had collapsed cursing his stubbornness, he was surprised to wake up in a small hut a few hours later. A very large female Yama was preparing something which resembled soup, he had been given a bowl and finished the meal in a few seconds.

After that he and the Yama woman had talked, she called herself Allice and told William that she was a hunter. He asked if he could hire her as a guide and she had accepted. After that the trip had been mostly uneventful, and they had arrived at the Yama capitol with most of the goods intact. He had asked her to accompany him for a bit longer, she had accepted since he promised her a gift. He then bought a shop inside the city, and offered her a position in the merchant guild. After a lot of alcohol and persuading she had agreed and ever since then Allice had been running his store here. He thought some more about it and came to the conclusion that Karin and Allice were a lot alike. He smiled as he continued heading towards the shop, seemingly lost in thought.

"Shall we?"

Reetch nodded, getting to his feet. He hitched up his bag and walked past Avada, now averting his eyes from her. Leaving the cell, he stood behind Ivaan who was talking to the guards. He leaned out from behind the bear, looking from guard to guard, while he nervously playing with one of his long ears. Now that they were, apparently, on decent terms with the locals, he was keen on not getting into any trouble if they could help it.

Ivaan nodded to William as he mentioned he knew where to get medical supplies and handed him a small list of items they needed as he passed, it included various chemicals, bandages, painkillers, and a smattering of other supplies.

A small list, written in the careful writing of a man who wanted to make sure no mistakes are made. Various materials and drugs were on the list.
- bandages (at least 2x50m rolls, more if I can find it.)
- tourniquet (x2)
- Milk of Cinchona bark
- anti-pyretics and assorted pain killers
- crushed Eyephen lilly petals (known as lilly-bilge to the locals, I think)
- Idiasta root (AKA bride's aide)

The pair followed the Unicorn, both taking not of the tree damage. "Who else is fighting this guy? you said there was a 'third party' fighting him" Karen asked, Rias looking up at Karen with a 'when did it say that?' look

Claire walked out of the cell as Avada opened it; happy to be free of the confines without a fight. "If we can't get any supplies, then what can you tell us of Abumot? He's supposed to be a legendary mage right; so does he have any famous goals? Any thing he likes or dislikes? What of his powers - I know he's a necromancer but what are his specialties, limits, etc?" she asked. She knew it was a bit much, but if they were going to be supply limited they needed as much information as they could to properly plan their assault.

Claire noticed William and the others walking off toward a shop where William seemed to know the owner. Claire sighed in relief and smiled slightly; trust William to know someone who could help. With a little luck, they might actually be able to get some medicine. Honestly she wanted more bandages then anything; she was running out of clothes to re-purpose. Claire was tempted to call out to William, asking him to get some for her, but decided against it; she wasn't sure how Avada would react to the group's unauthorized shopping trip so it was better to play a bit dumb and keep her busy with questions.

'Abumot is powerful, he created necromancy by a combination of electrical, flesh and healing magic. Though he is skilled in a great many magic arts. He seeks to beat death, and find the man or women who brought him back from the dead. Apart from that all I can tell you are legends and rumours' Avada responded.

When the group arrived in the shop, the shelf's were empty, the door behind the counter was open when a voice shouted out 'So what do you need this time' Alice then emerged from the door and saw william, she clearly took a double take 'well what misfortune has caused you to end up here?' she asked.

The unicorn brought karen and clair to a clearing, the swamp water was running thick with blood and had many chunks of flesh, in the centre of the clearing was an entrance to an underground tomb, the double doors were smashed wide open, through the doors a series of dead people in necromancer robes as well as as those from ghouls and zombies (are actually different things in terms of necromancy). The walls had massive chunks missing, some clearly caused by claws others much harder to tell.

William received a list from Ivaan, he looked it over and said. "These are all standard merchandise, so if there is nothing wrong the shop should have it." William then continued on to the shop, he had wanted to visit his old friends again after this mission. He was sure Alice would at least be a bit happy to see him. William also was interested in this 'Harvey Treasach' he didn't think he had heard about him before. William spotted the store, he was happy to see it was still there.

He walked inside. The first thing he saw that that the shelves were empty, and he saw an open door. 'So what do you need this time?!' Alice emerged from behind an open door, she seemed very surprised to see him. 'well what misfortune has caused you to end up here?' she asked. He smiled "That is a long story Alice. The short version is, that I joined the army and I am on a mission for them. So what happened here? Did that woman named Avada take all the supplies?" William looked around the store. William took a good look at Alice, she hadn't changed much from the last time he had seen her. She looked a bit older, and she was wearing different clothes. He was sure that he did look a lot different, he had been 16 when he had last seen her.

"...Apart from that all I can tell you are legends and rumors" Avada said, answering her question. Claire shrugged slightly and responded. "Legends and rumors need to start somewhere right? What did he do in legend - aside from found the nation?" she asked, still curious and hoping to find some edge against their foe.

One of the guards lead Ivaan to the hospital but before entering the guard said 'You do realise you won't be allowed to go near any the patients just observe'. Inside the hospital, while relatively clean compared to any of the other buildings, its floors were covered in a thin layer muddy foot prints. The yama doctors and animancers were very busy trying to treat patients that outnumbered them 20 to 1 easily.

'Well it was also said that he was able to create a living creatures using a mixture of liquids and slabs of flesh, called homunculus, used them to collect any information on magic they could. He ended up building the largest library of magic knowledge in the world. He was said to be buried in the same building which then sunk into the swamp.' Avada told clair

'No, avada did not take any of the supplies I gave her the food so she could ration it out, I also gave her any weapons and armour so we could defend ourselves from the necromancers and I gave the medical supplies to the hospital' Alice said while looking at the stuff she did have in store 'I still have cloths and souvenirs here' She said while taking out a chess board that used creature native to abumot for pieces.

In the tomb

The tomb was massive many rooms and corridors, bookshelves everywhere. The sights in the tomb didn't change much, carnage every were, though some side rooms were on fire instead of filled with rubble, broken furniture and corpses. As karen, rias and the unicorn got deeper into the tomb, noises of thunder started becoming audible.

Ivaan, exasperated, replied "Why? You know we aren't enemies." You afraid someone might do some good around here for a change? He thought to himself, and walking through the door.

took one look at the floor and sighed. this wasn't a hospital, it was a disaster waiting to happen.
Ivaan found a couple of brooms and dustpan and brushes, along with some cleaning chemicals and rags from a nearby cupboard and threw one to Reetch "Just clean, it'll be easier to get through the hospital that way, and maybe we'll make a dent in the ideals of hygiene around here." Ivaan began cleaning his way through the wards, sometimes transferring a little energy to the worst off of the patients from the flora and fauna outside the city walls. If he reached as far as he could he could just about reach the edge of the forest.
Ivaan looked for a yama who looked like they were in charge, thinking as he walked and swept with Reetch; I swear, if the doctors aren't washing their hands before seeing their patients...

So this is what the supernaturally gifted have restored to? Janitorial work? Reetch thought to himself as he hurried from one end of the ward to the other with long sweeps of his brush.

Like Ivaan, he did try to help with the use of his powers, rather then directly curing the patients, he checked around for mould, fungi and any other plant life that seemed to be thriving around the more dank areas and killing what he could find. The air was thick and, to say the least, musky. A heavy, humid environment.

A few open windows wouldn't hurt, he thought. He looked at the patients, most of them moaning and wheezing in pain. We can probably save most of these people, they would still need plenty of treatment afterwards, but surely that is a small price to pay.

"I do feel foolish," he muttered. "We can clean here till it's sparkling, it won't make a difference to these poor souls."

Ivaan nodded, concerned, "Hygiene is good, but the doctors here are so outnumbered..." Ivaan opened a window or two to let in some air, and a couple of the patients looked at him thankfully.
Ivaan passed through a set of doors to find the patients brought in from the party's wagon.
"Well, they at least look healthy. The only problem we were having was our lack of supplies, and they look stable enough." Ivaan murmured to Reetch, "I'm Glad to see they're doing so well."
