No, it's the same 'lack of a place' problem I've been fighting for years now" Rias said as she watched Karen start to poke around the chamber a bit, looking for signs of life

Claire heard mention of the mage who killed the party of enhanced beings. Claire bowed her head in silence for the fallen comrades. She may not have known them, but she knew they deserved better. "We've had a run in with a few mages. Did you happen to catch the name of the one who attacked you and your group - it never hurts to be prepared right?" she asked the thief. She didn't really approve of his actions, but then this was beyond her jurisdiction so she remained quiet.

Ivaan nodded, "I see." Ivaan shifted his weight on the slab he was sitting on, setting down his crutch.
"I think everyone would agree you will always have a place with us, if that helps."
Ivaan resisted the urge to scratch at his injury. The itching was good, it meant the wound was healing.

"Though I can understand if you need more than just us."

The hansav tried to hold back some laughter 'I am not going on the same suicide mission twice, what kind of fool would do that. I would rather just help with what ever you guys are digging up get some cash form that and then get on my way.'

"We've had a run in with a few mages. Did you happen to catch the name of the one who attacked you and your group - it never hurts to be prepared right?"

'He was some bear dude, grey hair staff using mage. Now I don't want to waste too much daylight and be caught out in the swamp at night so can we get on with what ever you guys want to dig up.'

Rias shook her head "No, I mean, I don't know what I supposed to do with my self, I 'don't know my place' in the world, there's things I can do well for sure, sing and dance being chief among these, but is that what I'm supposed to do? I do ok in a fight, is that it maybe?" she said, confused as always when ever she talked about this.

'Can you see if Abumot is still alive? cause I'm not see any sign of movement, not that means much' Karen thought to the Unicorn while as made her way back to where Rias and Ivaan where sitting "Well, I think he's dead, nothing down there look out of the ordinary, well, for a cave in anyway." she said once she by them "Also, the Hansav up stairs is looking for something 'valuable' and it's close enough 'he can taste it', apparently he's feeding the others a load of bull to, so I'll be back. Keep an eye on the mud pile eh?" and with that, Karen darted back up stairs to the rest of the group

'Now I don't want to waste too much daylight and be caught out in the swamp at night so can we get on with what ever you guys want to dig up.'

"Good idea. Shall we get to it?"

Bom gestured with his shovel and made towards the cave in. He now fixed his mind upon how they were going to move so many tons of earth and stone, and still hope to find what was left of Abumot.

"Claire. Your power - can you use it to move earth?"

"Claire. Your power - can you use it to move earth?" Mr. Bom asked, trying to figure out how to move all the earth. Claire nodded. "That was the plan." she said, then created a portal to demonstrate. Swinging it through the ground, she left a long, shallow trench in the stone and a pile of rubble to the side. "Though I think it will take a long time regardless of my power" she added, noting how little actual rock she'd moved.

Karen came back up to Claire William and Bom " Well the good news is, so far the cave in seems to have done the job, I didn't see anything to indicate Abumot survived, though I did ask Sleipnir to scan for his mind" she said to the group as a whole before pulling William aside, rather unsubtly "Sleipnir also said you lizard friend is really just in a hurry to get us out of here, there's something valuable here and the Hansav thinks he's close" Karen said in a low tone so that only she and William could hear

The rest of the group hardly looked the most burly, Ivaan and Karen accepted, Bom knew he'd have to do most of the graft. The sight of Claire's powers changed that though. He then wondered if Reetch could do anything to help as well. Funny that the two slightest members of the group could do the heaviest lifting.

He started hauling stone and soil from the cave in. It occured to him that they were going to have to move so much earth, they would have to deposit it into the rooms around them.

"Reetch, can you do anything?" said Bom, after a couple of shovel loads. "Also, that room was pretty big and we've got a lot of this stuff to move. Can anyone figure out in which direction we need to dig?"

Ivaan waved his hands in the air vaguely, and said "We all feel like that sometimes. when I was exiled I didn't know what to do to myself" Ivaan shrugged "If you need to soul-search, who am I to talk you out of it."

The others joined Ivaan and rias, and Ivaan looked up, smiling, "I'm not sure I'm going to be much help in the physical labour department. I don't want to pull my stitches."

Ivaan had an idea as he sat, elbows on knees, looking down at the cave floor.

"Hey, give me your water canteen, I want to try something." He said to no-one in particular.

Claire asked the Hansav about the mage he had encountered, which was a very good idea. Fighting a mind controlling person would be hard, to say the very least. Karen walked back up, and then said. She then pulled him aside, he listened to her whispering to him. William rubbed his chin. Something valuable? Now that sounded interesting. He smiled to Karen and then whispered. "Thank you a lot for telling me that Karen, I am glad to see you trust me." He then turned back to the party. He was just in time to hear Ivaan speak"We all feel like that sometimes....who am I to talk you out of it." Oh right he was exiled, he had to ask why once.

"Hey, give me your water canteen, I want to try something." He said looking at the group. William grabbed one of his water canteens, and handed it to Ivaan. He then turned to the Hansav. "You know we have a telepathy in the group. So what is buried here what you want so badly?" He sounded friendly, but he did prepare the ash to attack if needed.

The hansav held his head up while letting out a wail of a groan 'AWWWW, that's not fair, can't a man's thoughts be his own. I don't know what it is I just know that its near by and its valuable, but its mine, I am the only one around here who can find it, I came here for it and I am the one who needs it' the hansav started moving around the room in his cloud form 'its also not like you can threaten me much, I am a cloud. I'll help you get your thing, and I get my thing or are you going to steal from a man who has nothing?'

Ivaan was busy pouring the water onto the clay floor and fiddling with something in the mud.
eventually, a golem in the shape of a small cat just under a foot tall stood in front of Ivaan.
With a small sigh of exertion from Ivaan It began to move.
Ivaan got his crutch and hopped to a standing position.

"There's a couple of faint life forces in the large space next to the crater. They're both tiny but I think it's our best bet. This also means that Abumont might be in some sense still alive. stay on your guard."

The small golem, more of a test run than anything, climbed up Ivaans shoulder and curled up, its empty eyes surveying the dig.

Bom continued to make work on the cave in.

"Stop talking to that puff of smoke and help with the digging!" he called to the others, "Leave him to his treasure for now."

Bom was making some headway through the rubble. Luckily, it was fairly loose, which sped up the process somewhat.

"There's a couple of faint life forces in the large space next to the crater."

"Thanks Ivaan."

Bom dug towards the referred area.

Hearing Ivaan's information, Claire redirected her efforts toward the indicated spot, cutting away at the rock with renewed vigor. Rock by rock, they were making progress. Still, Ivaan's words gave her some worries. "Ivaan. Any idea how far it is? I don't want to be caught off guard when we break through." she said, trying to plan for the contingency that Abumot was both still alive and still well enough to continue their fight.

Ivaan's eyes widened.
"Stop! Stop, its behind this layer of rock. Everyone be ready, we can't know what to expect."
Ivaan backed off and channelled a boost into everyone, to be sure if the worst came to the worst they'd be ready, he then went to hide behind the front line; Rias, Claire, Karen and Bom. He knew he'd be useless in a melee.

Ivaan draws energy through the hole from the surrounding forest above

Ivaan uses the roots Reetch made earlier as conduits and draws energy through the roots from above.

Ivaan's cat-like golem fell from his shoulder and broke to pieces as he took back the energy he had placed in it.
"William, two ash golems, if you wouldn't mind. also, could you make them shovels they could also use as axes please?"

Bom jumped in response to Ivaan's shouting.

He tightened the grip around his shovel, and prepared himself. Whatever was on the other side wouldn't be pretty. He looked to the others to see if they were ready. Once everyone looked alert, he wiped the mud from his brow, gulped, and began to delicately prise away at the final layer of rock.

Rias hadn't really moved from where she was, just far enough to see the hole, but at Ivaan warning she spread her mist about the hole, if Abumot was still alive down there, and he attacked he would be cut to confetti instantly.

The hansav held his head up, and let out a loud groan. 'AWWWW, that's not fair, can't a man's thoughts be his own....I came here for it and I am the one who needs it.' The Hansav then changed to a cloud, and started moving around the room. 'Its also not like you can threaten me much, I am a cloud. I'll help you get your thing, and I get my thing or are you going to steal from a man who has nothing?' William looked at the cloud, he was sure that if he needed to he could hurt him somehow.

"There's a couple of faint life forces...stay on your guard." Ivaan said looking around the tomb. "Stop talking to that puff of smoke and help with the digging! Leave him to his treasure for now." William looked at the cloud, he would have to decide what to do after finding out what treasure it was. He grabbed his shovel, and began helping to the bets of his abilities. "Stop! Stop, its behind this layer of rock. Everyone be ready, we can't know what to expect."

William did a step back, and then drew his sword. "William, two ash golems, if you wouldn't mind. also, could you make them shovels they could also use as axes please?" He glanced back at Ivaan, and then nodded. A bit of ash broke off Williams armor, and then formed two human sized soldiers. Who were holding something which looked like a mix between a shovel and an axe. William then walked back to the layers of rocks, he would face whatever was on the other side. He placed his shovel into the rocks again, and continued digging. "Everyone be ready." He said as he kept digging.

The hansav floated over sleipnir 'is that a demonic unicorn? How the hell did you guys come across a demonic unicorn, even better question, why the hell is a demonic unicorn with you?' The hansav flew over to were the group was digging and soon disappeared into the cracks in the rouble, 'hey there's a corridor here' said the hansav but the sound was muffled by the rubble. A creaking noise came from were the group was digging towards/where the hansav disappeared to, when the rubble quickly moved, revealing the corridor the hansav talked about as well as burying him up to his waist in rubble. The hansav merely turned back into cloud form to get out. The movement of the rubble revealed several corpses all looking like abumot. The corridor had a trail of blood leading through it, the door at the other end was also open revealing a monolithic library.
